well the obvious reply to that will be

'given the results on the field have not been the best lately and in an effort to do the best possible for cork city, liam has organised another training session for the lads tonight'

perfectly worded Unfortunately you´re probably right james. Of course if Liam stayed away from the training sessions, maybe we´d have a chance

    what methinks though is

liam/ brian / the club whoever would be stupid to send / allow liam to go into what for him will be a hostile environment in PJ turners.. due in no small way to the nature of the set-up.. lookat the equation

fan + bar + drink + bad results

DO Not = nice place / safe place for manager

were it to have taken place in a hotel u could have properly monitored and moderated the forum, and then imo liam would have little excuse
    life is random

I think you guys are spot on about not turning it into a personal campaign and slagging match against LM. That will achieve nothing. Certainly this issue of turning full time pro should be addressed and after the Longford game, the issue of the stewards and the young drunks in the shed. It makes it all far to easy for them to paint all city suporters with the same brush by using this mob as an example.

Yeah Shanes right. Of course, if people feel strongly about it, it should be brought up. But not to the exclusion of everything else. Otherwise its a wasted opportunity. Every subject of interest should be brought up.

dont honestly think lennox/murphy will leave themselves wide open to attack they will surely have a few of their own in the audience and there are also those who are blinkered in favour of murphy.respect those who are talking know ur facts and try talk with the star reporters to get the media on ur side..i think with supporters pressure and media coverage lennox might have no choice..dont let thursday nite be a slagging match at least drunken 14 year olds wont be there

If it turns into a slagging match, well then itll show that the Murphy Out people are the idiots that people have been accusing them of being.

Howver, i know that many of them are not idiots, and have well thought out, balanced opinions on certain matters.

So lets not let ourselves down eh?

    Exclamation no...

this forum is not a vehicle to voice your criticism of LM... it's about marketing the club and providing feedback to everyone involved with the eL, media and the club. It's about UEFA licencing, it's about progressing the club and the league. While attendances are linked to performances don't let valuable time be consumed by the Murphy out campaign...

Are you not a Longford fan???

ya, I know what you mean, but you know as well as me that it will be questions asked of the club for the most part!

sorry if I'm stepping in but if the wider picture is taken into context you have to realise what these forums are trying to establish, and that is to enhance attendances and structures and to ask fan's for their opinion of future directions... One of the lads at work was at one and he said alot of time was consumed on short term issues and he was undecided as to wheither or not something constructive came out of it...

Ya, i know what you mean, but the problem is, is that there is so many problems with CCFC at present and we have so little oppurtunities to those in the know, that we must take every oppurtunity we can to air our grievances.

But i will also be interested in what they have to say about the eL and what are the future plans etc.

Thing is, your grievances whilst valid are probably (in the most part) common problems other clubs share... the only club IMO that can be happy is Bohs, they are devolping all sides of their product, long before the advent of the eL's newest international, they marketed the club to school kids and bang 1500 extra paying adults, they are also top of the league...

Well I don´t see a long term future for Cork City if that man continues to ruin our club. Murphy leaving is the most important issue to City fans, and seeing as he is intent on insulting fans and then retreating into the shadows without responding to criticism, this is the only chance to deal with the matter- if he had turned up to the Supporters Club meeting last season when he had the chance (and he had a lot more support) then maybe this wouldn´t be such an issue. I don´t thnk the whole meeting should be consumed by this issuie, but it must be raised, after all without a team and fans the club is nothing, and the way murphy is going we won´t have either for much longer

As a prelude to having a fulltime manager (adios Liam), players & club maybe someone would be brave enough to ask where all the cash from this seasons (surely monster) takings?

Are you really surprised rolo (feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen)?

Id be hugely surprised to see his mug there.

Anyway im more interested in hearing what Lennox has to say.

Just another thing about the Echo yesterday, why does LM think that the whole OUT thing is personal???

And why did Spillane call it a "controversy "?

Well I heard from Brian Lennox that Murphy will be there. Still wouldn't be surprised if he didn't turn up, looks like we will just have to wait and see.

I wouldn´t be surprised to see him hiding. He disappeared at short notice last year when he was supposed to attend a supporters club meeting, and the athmosphere was no-where near so hostile, so what odds he´ll have the guts to turn up tomorrow

I feel there has been a mojor "Murphy is the greatest campaign" going on all week. I think he may show up, with a large band of supporters to back him up and to stifle any criticism.

I think you might be right there. If this turns out, I hope that there can be reasoned debate and those who support murphy will realise the error of their ways
