Thumbs up Album you keep coming back to.

Guys I am looking for your desert island disk , the one album you have bought , lost, bought again, given to a special woman , bought again etc. etc. everybody has one.

For me it's Fisherman's Blues by the Waterboys.

I have given it to loads of people down throught the years
We Will Not Be Lovers and Strange Boat are awesome tunes , as are all the singles they released off it. It reminds me of my mis-spent youth and of Galway.

Would be interested to hear your selctions and of course the reasons for them.
Was he crazy!! Yeah , in a very special way , an Irishman.

Probably Whats the Story (Morning Glory) by Oasis , its probably the one album that I love every track off ,it also reminds me of and defines my teenage years which is important i suppose for nostalgia as you get older
Notable others include Nevermind and The Holy Bible.

Radiohead "The Bends" for me. The very second i heard it, fell in love with it. was 18 when it came out and hit me in a way few albums did. Still sounds as great as ever. recently got back into Portishead "Dummy" after downloading it on iPod, and forgot for ages just how amazing it sounds.

Blur - Parklife - (mostly for the memories, but it's really a quality album, the like of which we have not seen this decade)

Evan Dando - Live at the Budokan - (Have always been a big Lemonheads fan, but I personally think this live album outdoes anything Evan Dando has done in his career. One of the top 3 live albums in my ears too)

    hmmmmmmmm... Toughie.

    Maybe Forever Changes by Love
    or
    Screamadelica by Primal Scream

Stone Roses (first) is an obvious contender.

Or possibly The Holy Bible by the Manic Street Preachers

Then again there's Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers

but how could I leave out Abbey Road by The Beatles or Setting Sons by The Jam or even Searching for the young soul rebels by Dexys Midnight Runners
Ah hell I could never pick one.

    Robbie Robertson - Robbie Robertson

Somwhere down that Crazy river is a classic, U2 back on 2 of the songs also

More Mellow but also brilliant, Van Morrison, Poetic Champions Compose. Can't stand the grumpy whore, but great album. Went to see him once in the point many moons ago, jesus i struggled to keep the eyes open..

Would have to be Nirvana's Nevermind for me. Its one album that I'll pull out every so often and have a listen to. They were the first band I was properly into.

Christy Moore - Live at the Point. Don't think that needs much explanation! Gave it away in Stuttgart to a German who said he loved Joxer but couldn't find it anywhere over there, and bought it again within a week of returning.
