He would go there, fail to score, be hated by the fans and be out the door and playing for Celtic within 12 months!
Are you serious???? Crouch is very much over rated, only because he is english( i know irish rate are players). so many times does he falter or foul because of his height, doyle is more potent and composed than crouch. i know this is a different argument but look at how spurs are set up, to accomadate VDV, what do they miss???? a poacher and who is one of the best poachers in the EPL? our own robbie keane!!! case example Van Nistlerooy and scholes, Torres and gerrard!!! milito is more a footballer than a doyle type player..

Comedy merchant. I was with bringing people down to ground level with Doyles ability not being at the top level. But giving an example of a top striker as Peter freaking Crouch and adding further insult putting him in the same sentence as a great striker like Milito? Are you high?

Don't see this happening, Benzema's wages and transfer fee is too rich for arsenals blood. I don't personally know why people feel they're in the market for a striker. They've got Van Persie, Chamakh, Bendtner, Vela while Gervinho and Arshavin can play there too. They often only play a lone striker to begin with. They could sell Bendtner and still not need a replacement.

This Doyle business is essentially a product of the media feeling like theres a change in Wengers transfer policy looking for more hard working guys with substance over style. Doyle fits that bill so is probably just a victim for the media to run their story about wengers emphasis change.

The way Arsenal like to play they could have done with a striker like Suarez and a winger/striker like Sanchez.

No way they could afford him, but far more suited to their style than Arse's faux-finesse, which is largely all mouth and no trousers....

    Sadly.

Sanchez is way out of their league. Think they and others missed a trick with Suarez by being too cheap, Liverpool got value for money with him.

Way way too early to tell with Sanchez.
Judge him in a couple of seasons or so.

Incidentally, makes more sense Doyle at Liverpool than Arse, IMO.

Thanks Sullivinho, now I don't have to go with the dreaded Long-Cox partnership up front in my all-Irish fantasy football team.

Doyle scores his first goal of the season for Wolves to put them 1-0 against Fulham:

Doyle scores just before half-time against Fulham. He and Stephen Hunt then demonstrate why the average Irish people are not renowned for their dancing skills.

A lot of gossip of the Wolves forum saying Liverpool have made a bid for Doyle.

hed be mad to go to liverpool, now i dont really rate carroll to much but with them spending 35 mill on him they wont want to keep him on the bench to often. suarez is a def starter so who's the odd man out? ya exactly..

Not to mention Dirk, it would be utter stupidity to have that many forwards who expect to start every week

Yep agree with the two points there mentioned, although dirk doesn't always play as an out and out striker. Don't move for competition for places, Carrol is a very average player, except to geordies who have no sense of realism at all. But daglish will not want to show his very stupid mistake so early, that he will automatically start him.

Doyler looking good at Wolves, playing well, and wolves playing well too with nice football. Don't go to sit on the bench at liverpool with only a half every game.
