I think Doyle would do well at United, less so at Chelsea.

Well, over 6 yards they are all a lot faster than Doyle and a lot of Chelseas chances are created by balls into the box that need this quickness and I don't think he has that.

If a chance falls at his feet he will probably score but if he is being marked or is asked to react quickly then I don't think he has the pace to get into those positions that all of Chelsea's forwards have.

Plus as I said his all round game is nothing compared to those three who compensate their lack of "lightning pace" with superb strength, skill and intelligence.

I believe that when he was home during the summer he said his intention was to play another full season with Reading and then move to Manchester United (obviously no official source for this, just a strong rumour from people close to him).

I'd say he'd be more likely to get a chance at United than Chelsea and on current playing style he'd fit better in the United system. I'd love to see him get a chance at one of the big clubs, but, at this stage of his career it'd be a disaster for him to get stuck in the reserves.

You don't quite understand investiture do you?

Anyway, if it were being paid directly to Arkaga one would assume they'd save the hassle of currency conversion and have it paid direct to the London office.

If the offer is for real he should take it, even if he is stuck in the reserves for two years he will be made for life and can move on to another club.
Doyle is a very clever and brave player and I think he would develop more with good players around him and could make as part of a squad rotation policy.

I know this is sacrilege but I'm never really convinced by Doyle, I want to be and sometimes I see it in flashes but I'm not sure the quality is there. Can someone convince me I'm wrong (as I'd like to be)

Doyle is not good enough for Chelsea. He'd be permanent fixture on the bench.

I seen Spurs were usggested too. Now that would be awful. Keane and Doyle up front together are a disaster.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

I used to be the same way with him, but just when you start to think he's **** he'll score a goal like he did against Slovakia.

Remember, that was at the peak of a cold streak, and he had the ambition to take that kind of shot after not scoring in ages.

I said to myself then this guy's the real deal.

He's got talent and unmatched desire....if he's given a fair chance at Chelsea he'll make it.

Doyle has been used on the wing a number of times for Reading this season, for a variety of reasons and he has performed quite well there. This is partly the reason why he hasnt got as many goals this season. I think Doyle may be the more skillful player but Keane is def the better finisher imo.

He's one for the future, hence why he's not playing all the time.

If Doyle's moving he should go up the league, not down. Sunderland and Boro are both struggling this year and if he went he could end up back in the Championship very quickly.

He can do better than Reading, Boro or Sunderland. Don't think he'd get much of a chance at Everton with Yakubu and Johnson. Maybe Newcastle.
Don't think he'd have much of a chance with Newcastle either with Owen, Martins and Viduka

I'd have to say the complete opposite. In terms of vision, touch and all round skill, I'd have to say Keane is streets ahead of Doyle but if you asked who I'd want one on one with the keeper it would have to be Doyle

Doyle the more skilfull and Keane the better finisher?
Let me just point to Doyle v Slovakia, bangs one in from 25 yards in terrible condidions and then secondly to Keane V Germany, one on one with Lehmann and pops it into the air.

Keanes clearly more skilfull but Doyle is a far far better finished than Keane

I would rather look at their goals per game ratio on the Premiership, Keane is a better finisher and a more skilfull but Doyle is a great player too.

The thing is that Keane gets into the right positions all the time but I've never ever been convinced by his finishing in one-on-one situations.....see Germany at home where he tried to lob Lehmann as an ideal example.

If Doyle had Keane's positional sense I think he'd be lethal...
