Celtic have apparently hinted they might move for Doyle, but you'd imagine only if Hooper goes and they've just turned down a fifth bid of £9.2 million. Doyle is on the bench for Wolves tonight.

Would prefer him to stay in the championship, unless its a loan move till the end of the season.

I'd prefer to stay in the Championship too, with a different club. He's slowly decaying at Wolves - it's sad to see.

looks like it wont be happening as Norwich have confirmed they wont be signing Hooper

I though after Hooper missed 3 sitters in front of goal last night, his mind was already in Norwich. £9.2m was a respectable bid.

On current form Doyle wouldn't get a game at Celtic, at his best these days he might be a decent stand in for the Samaras role but he's no replacement for Hooper.

I think that's why Celtic won't sell - there is no replacement for Hooper, unless Angry Ant unleashes a hitherto unknown predatory instinct.

It appears that reported £9.2m bid was not a real bid, Skysports was initially taken in by the report.
More likely Norwich didn't go very far above their initial bid, small increments, not serious enough to even interest Hooper.

That was a fake twitter account sky got the info from there was no 9 million bid. Pity doyle didnt get move

The sudden request for Doyle on loan came in just before last night's game.
That could have had something to do with Samaras' hamstring issue on Wed night.
Not likely it had anything to do with the Hooper rigmarole.

Doyle an unused sub again as Wolves lose to Barnsley and slip into the relegation zone. Not sure why Saunders made a big deal of keeping him if he doesn't want to play him.
