    Graham Coughlan on Newstalk

Mentioned this in the Anthony Stokes thread, but I think Graham Coughlan's interview deserves a seperate mention.
Very good interview, doesn't think he's in the Irish scene any more, even though he could probably do a job if we're stuck.
Interesting that Stan was at the Wednesday - Man City game, presumably to watch Glen Whelan.

Thanks for that. Interesting comment "the boy was there yesterday in the crowd, (hesitates to think of his name)....Staunton".

Whelan has been playing some great stuff over the past 2 months. He had been put by Sturrock on the transfer list since he had lost form but he's back to his best now but the question is, can he maintain it.

I like Graham Coughlan. However, the interviewer wasn't aware that he had been dropped by Laws for the previous few games before the Man City game. He is a centre half in the Kevin Moran style but at his prime in his 20s, we had an abundance of talent in that position which is a shame for him as a lot worse players have been capped. Interviewer: "Do you think Stan might call you up? " Coughlan: "Ahh Jaysus, no, dem days are well gone".
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
