John Flanagan scored the 1st goal. There was a good crowd at the game but not 1,000 id say 500 or so but its hard to tell because I was in the stand and so was everyone else thus its very hard to estimate the crowd.
Its only a friendly as well there is no point reading to much into that result!

Ah I missed the 1st goal but
Flanagan - Missed it
Doran - Ah scrappy goal kinda like Irelands goal yesterday
Hughes - He chipped Delaney but he cudnt have done anything to stop it from going in.
R.Dunne - He(Delaney) went out for the ball with R.Dunne chasing him down R.Dunne came out with the ball and put it in the net.

Delany couldnt do a thing about the first goal, it was a great header.
Dunno if this is better news for Derry but he wasnt in goal for the other three goals, think it was Jennings that came on, scored the second pretty soon after that, thought he (Jennings) should of done better. He couldnt do much about the third, the fourth as mentioned was a bit of a disaster from a Derry point of view
There was around 1000 at the match as the stand was fairly packed. Honestly thought we were gonna get a bit of a hiding tonight from the best team in the league but all the town's players looked very fit and sharp especially in the second half. Maybe the scoreline flattered us a little but the best team won and we even had a good goal disallowed for offside. Id say the Derry fans that travelled down were very disappointed with the team
Was at the game and Dundalk deserved their win no doubt. I wouldn't read too much into it as it is only pre-season( we had a awful night). Enjoyed the hospitality before the game in The Lillywhite bar, complimentary snacks was really appreciated.
Will be great to see Dundalk go up this season as it a handy trip for us Derry fans. They have a decent team there, so hopefully they get the place in the top flight that they deserve.
Bray playing Waterford on Tuesday (13th Feb) night in the Carlisle Grounds with a 7.30 kick off
Derry will be taking on Dynamo Moscow in Marbella some time next week.
Kildare County 1 Shamrock Rovers 3
Could have been 4 or 5 to Roversnothing special about the game.
Everyone needs something to believe in, I believe I'll have another beer.
A bit scrappy alright, although considering maybe only half the team that started will start in the league we were happy
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.
Bohs lost 2-0 in Girona last Wednesday.
No ref or linesmen turned up and Owen Heary was sent off in the 1st half!
