Whats the Story with your Facilities out there. I find it hard to swallow that just a few years ago Achill Rovers were not allowed to go into the Super when they had a mirrior version of your bumpy pitch and Portacabins
I headr from the management at Ballina last year that the surface was worst than croagh Patrick..... I dont think the League is Strict enough on this. Why do some Clubs make a fine effort at improving grounds and the rest get away with it!!!

I would have to agree it not strict enough, the set-up is not as good as one expect from a super league side!

Regard to club of the month award given out poor disciplinary messures would have rule out any club if they where poor.I am sure the same should apply when selecting club of the year, which in Celtic case it wasn't. So I can only conclude that it gave a negative to everyone else except Celtic.
You need to get your facts correct. It was three supporters who were suspended. One of the suspensions was a joke (based on a Ref's report which didnt mention why he sent the Port's Ass.manager off, or the abuse that Dykes received from the Port's fans, or blew the game up 5 min. early one sided or what.). I think the club received the club of the year for becoming the first Mayo club to win a FAI Senior Cup game, FAI Junior Cup semi-finalists, Mayo Super League & Westaro Cup winners, Connacht & Mayo Cup finalists,FAI U-17 Semi-finalists, U-18 & U-16 Connacht Cup winners, U-12, U-14, U-16 2006 Mayo League winners, two players signed by English clubs, Flood Lights installed etc etc. I suppose the three people who were suspended should over shadow all the above work then yes the club should not be given the club of the year. By the way who should get it. As for the club of the Month received in April what disciplinary problems had Celtic at this time that would have ruled them out of this award.

Dont want to dampen your spirits first of all those poeple in question were MEMBERS of Celtic. they had played most of there football with Celtic. Just to add salt incase you hadn't been aware of it " who do you think is responable for Celtic supporters" Your Club!!! By the way when the Junior body are handing out awards they dont take into account what your youths have won.
To tell you the thruth!! they dont even care!!
So you may think your right, but there is alot out there who would nor agree.
Just to add flavour Manulla B was runner up,Does that ring any bells.

Well once again you have your facts wrong. First you made accusations about 3 Celtic players now it is 3 members of the club (2 are members). Yes I do agree with you that the club is responsaible for their supporters, but the point I was making was that these people in question were punished as was the club so why should the club be punished futher. As for the criteria for the club of the year the following is what is taken into consideration: Success of the junior & youth teams, club development etc. As for your accusation that Celtic should not be receive the April club of the month award due to disciplinary issues you still have stated what they were.

The only negative thing out of Celtic is from your posts or maybe you can list the negatives that have upset you in the past

I am just wondering why you have decided to mention the above player and his history with the A team. Do you have a problem with this player. You might be better off getting your pitch ready for next season based on some of the comments posted. By the way Glenhest will easily stay in the SL and will be in the top half of the table good team saw them a few times last year.

Ya have to agree cant see glenhest staying up or boro. dont think they have what it takes to beat the likes of crossmolina(if they have there GAA players) or ballyheane.
will the two teams that went down last year come straight back up? S&F and Ballyglass??? Swinford could be in with a good chance.

why is it that ballyheane could draw with or beat the top teams in the super league and then struggle against the teams in the lower half of the league

My call would be the Boro (unless they sign four or five new players) as their current set of players are not good enough to stay up. I would say they would struggle in the Premeir League, they have no keeper, lost Collins, Flynn,Duffy, Murphy and the players left behind are not up to it. The second team is much harder to call with Crossmolina, Ballyheane & Claremorris allin danger. If I was to call it I would say ballyheane if they do not sign a number of new players.

It is a great chance for Swinford to get back to where they belong as with 3 B team in this Div and the two relegated teams not a strong as their name might suggest. I think Manulla B will struggle if their games clash with their A team and Celtic B might also struggle depending on the Eircom League team as well as Westport B. How will B'robe fair out this year.

Wallace and Duffy are back. Fintan Ruddy has been up and we've had 4 other keepers up at training also. Aaron Curry has resigned and we've got a few players back from the US and signed from other clubs like Ballyvary, Town, but not many of them will push into the A side. We're in a better shape this season than we have been for the last two and without Collins and Murphy(who were fantastic players) we look to have a more balanced side and players are relishing the challenge. Can't wait for the season to start. Ballisodare on Sunday should be an indication of where we are.
