Seeing as he is doing most of the scoring for them , they might as well not accept offers they deem acceptable and just lose him at the end of the season for whatever price the tribunal gives for him .

How eager is he to go? could play out the season with CCFC, leave in November and Cork will be due,according to some papers, �240k.
Bit of a gamble, if Cork do will this season with O'Donavon and he leaves with their blessing in November then everyone's happy, titile+�240k
If they dont win anything and keep an unhappy player they mite regret not selling him for more money now.

Mick McCarthy & Roy Keane have certain patterns to their signings too.

I think Lawrie is a good coach and would wish Roy the best of luck, if the moved to a decent club.

I was just thinking that as I posted. Keane pretty much went out and bought anyone who he played with at United, Celtic or Ireland who was available. Mick still has his favourites such as Breen and Elliott - fully expect Kilbane to end up at Wolves when the time comes to drop out of the top division.

I'd expected Kerr to buy up a bunch of players he used to work with but Pats have signed an interesting mix of players from all over the place (Shelbourne, Scotland, England, Czech Republic, USA)
