    Some positive news at last?

    Heard from a reliable resource that james chambers conor o grady and jim crawford have agreed to sign on with the town. Dont quote me on it its not confirmed! Apparantly derry are after shay kelly aswell so there is bad news as well i guess.

    Heard much the same plus two or three more are probably on the way..young players in the majority though. Martin Reilly is apparently back also

    if thats the case that is a very good bit of business involved. Jim Crawford is a very good holding midfielder something we have lacked in a long time since Stewie Byrne. O grady class act James Chambers I have heard of but I know very little about him.

    Hopefully this will finally kick away the sense of gloom around the club and the message board recently.

    Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

    Alan Mathews was in Longford for a committee meeting last night and is enthusiastic enough apparently. He knows he'll have a reduced budget but with the way things are in the league in general players dont have clubs over a barrel as much as previously. We wont be challenging for honours but maybe a few fresh faces might reenergise things
