Pete, the examples of groundsharing you gave are miles away from what was being proposed for / foisted on (delete according to your point of view) the Dublin clubs. You're not even comparing apples and oranges, but more so apples and yoghurt or something.

Cork aren't competing with the MFA, nor are Galway competing with the schoolboy league. Us and Rovers would be in direct competition if we were to be shunted to Tallaght and up until Shels' financial implosion, so would they and Bohs have been on the northside.

Spot on. Pats need to stay in Richmond. Ground there definitely has potential despite all the apartments around it.

Apple yoghurt is nice so proves can coexist.

It works allover europe. Shels & Bohs could easily share in green field site as neither of them get thier support exclusively from local areas anymore. Tallaght is a bit different as Rovers have had head start making themselves part of the community.

    Is that a sentence?

Your comparison was nonsense Pete for the reasons stated, and you can't get out of it with more nonsense.

IMO As a non Pats fan definately want to see Pats stay where they belong in Richmond, the league is bad enough without teams packing up and moving to new areas thus losing their fanbase.

I know money is an issue for every club but to move is to lose your soul- as Bohs I feel will find out.

Anyway that chippy ye have is top notch post pub pre game nosh!!!

Meanwhile, back on the original topic, RTE news has just reported that Gary O'Neill has signed for Pats. Excellent news. Better signing than Ndo IMO. (Trevor Who ?? )
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
