FACT is galway at present have a WEAKER squad then that which finished third in the first division.
Waste of time talking to him monkey, he'll find out at the end of the season.

Yeah - he did have Shels to win the league as well. But the rest of the table seems to make some sort of sense.

Galway have made one good signing in O'Flynn and have lost some of their best players from last season. Hardly a "strengthened" squad.

Bray have got load of a whole load of crap players and have signed good players like Cawley and Delaney. With their current squads Bray will finish ahead of Galway.

Also I can't understand how people think that Rovers, Galway or Sligo will finish so high up the table. Rovers and Galway still have First Division teams and Sligo have lost a whole host of important players from last year and have only signed one player to date. They will more than likely bring in more, but with the squad they have at the moment they will be bottom half.

    My predictions (with current squads):

    1. Drogheda
    2. Derry
    3. Cork
    4. Pats
    5. Bohs
    6. UCD
    7. Bray
    8. Rovers
    9. Sligo
    10. Galway
    11. Longford

Can't put Shels anywhere as their squad could turn out to be completely different.

Well need I remind folks at this point that's it's supposed to be three down and one up automatically at the end of 2007 with possibly a play-off where 9th in the Premier plays 2nd in the First.

, didn't know that. Thought it was in the 2008 season that was in place.

Just think the quality of the League next year is going to go down rather than up, which will tend to even things up and help the sides that get the ball on the floor and try to play football. As such, UCD could well have a very good season.
And I firmly believe that, conditional on who we appoint as manager, Shels will still be up there at the end.

I agree with the first bit anyway. We've to replace Pat Kavanagh in particular, and to a lesser extent Darren Quigley and Gary Dicker (both are kind of replaced already, but the replacements need a few games obviously to bed in) and could do very well.

However, I can't see Shels being up there, to be honest. So far, Williams, Delaney, Ndo, Cahill, Stuart Byrne, Fenlon and Crawley are gone, with O'Neill and Rogers seemingly almost confirmed at Pat's and Dillon taking legal action to have his contract rescinded. The U-21s went on strike for one game as well last year over unpaid wages and I'm sure some would be happy to move on if they got the chance (if you have the next Conor Kenna, we'll take him off you!) If I were a manager or a player, I wouldn't touch Shels with a ten-foot barge pole, to be honest. That would leave, for the moment, a squad of (going off your website) -

    Heary
    Harris
    Hawkins
    Moore
    Baker
    Byrne
    Crowe
    Kearney
    Ryan
    O'Halloran
    Ennis
    Mulhall

That's only 12 players, of whom several have been linked with moves away. They obviously won't all move, but even two or three more players will leave you struggling for an XI with the quality throughout that Shels are used to, let alone a squad. With the UK transfer window only opening today, legal action now being taken to allow contracted players to rescind their contracts and leave for free and any full-time players highly unlikely to sign, Shels look to be in serious trouble ahead of next season. Wouldn't surprise me to see youz go largely part-time next season, to be honest.

Must be a Shels fan point of view. I think it'll increase greatly.

I can't understand how you could even have put Rovers in the same sentence as those teams
