    Foot.ie! Philiy Hughes's decision

Ok Ok! Lets put this one to bed, and this is fact
Philiy was only ever going to sign for 1 Premier club and that was Bohs and only if everything felt right and if it didn't he was staying with Dundalk. He had talks with Bohs and things were going fine including getting permission to take time off work twice a week and for match days which meant he would only miss 1 session on Mondays. But for whatever reason the talks slowed down, its most likely Bohs slowed the talks to see if they could get Crowe or that N.Ireland lad but what ever it was Philiy told all concerned he would be making his mind up over the weekend and he did so on Monday evening he made a call and agreed new terms with John Gill and it was as simple as that.Nothing to do with fear of the Premier or full time football or any other bull**** lets put an end to all the chit chat regarding Hughesie reason's for staying and lets look forward to next Season and the best of luck to YOUR TEAM

I know but I wanted to make sure as many as possible would read it because of all the speculation and wanted to put every straight on the subject.

Agreed Fingers it's common knowledge that Phillys good enough for a team like Bohs, I say fair play to him for just wanting to play football rather than waiting around on phonecalls. Bohs loss is defo Dundalks gain!

Personally I don't think Hughes is good enough for Bohs. If we're looking to challenge next season I'd like to think that we'd aim higher than that in the transfer market. Hughes has had his chances in the Premier Division and has failed to impress, I don't think he's good enough for a team expecting to finish in the top three.

Luke, a player who can knock that many goals in a season is surely good enough for Bohs, look at how our strikers did last year .... in a word ..... $hit! In the past Philly has never been given a decent run in a Premier team and as soon as he had a decent run in a team even if it was first division he scored a load of goals so to say he's not good enough for Bohs is in my opinion a bad call.

One area where hughes impressed me last season was his speed, time and time again, he left defenders (albeit first div ones) for dead, he will have no problem adjusting to the premier div next season, he was without a shadow of a doubt the fastest striker and best finisher in div 1 last year.

    agree bohs loss our gain.
