    No sound

This may seem stupid but I can't get any sound out of my PC at all. I've tried with both headphones and speakers and I've tried iTunes, Youtube etc and I get no sound at all.

No, it's not muted. Yes, the sound is turned up.
Could it be my soundcard or something? Or can anyone think of anything obvious that I haven't?

Something may have corrupted the driver on your sound card so you may want to go to Control Panel, System, then find Device Manager. When you find it check if there are any yellow question marks anywhere (particularly the sound) the yellow question means the driver is gone, messed up, or outdated. Try to find a new driver on the net.
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

I was about to try what you said strangeirish when I decided to see if it had fixed itself and it had! Odd but I won't complain.

    Thanks anyway.

No worries. Loose connection where your speakers plug into the back of your system maybe.

No because it was the same with headphones.
