Fair play Louth4Sam.
The northen part was in the ancient Kingdom of Oriel, and originally part of Ulster (hence the hand on the official county crest). So if the southern bit did go into Meath, maybe they would actually have a case for joining the Irish league after all.....?!![]()
P.S. Since when was Louth a viable county...?![]()
Quite a big chunk of Monaghan was once part of the Kingdom of Oriel with the name Oriel used quite alot in Monaghan such as Oriel Celtic (Football Club Sean McCaffery started his management career with) Oriel Swimming Club (successful Monaghan swiming team) and there was an Oriel House Hotel in Monaghan many moons ago.
Mad Maxi stewarding at a home game in Oriel against Linfield ?![]()
t'was good while it lasted...
If you read the guy's two posts he was just having an anti Dublin rant. Since when are the FAI 'the Dublin FAI' or the league a 'Dublin league'?
