There's probably no point arguing with you but if you think that I started this thread to have a "calculated insult" at Dan, you must assume I've bugger all motives in life.
100& correct. After the farcical scenes on our last trip up there Rovers fans sent concerned emails to DFC. The response from one individual in the club was to slag off our homeless situation. Amateur hour stuff.
Galway on the other hand have done things professionally and are a very welcome addition to the top flight.

In other news, sales of handbags in the Dundalk and Galway areas have reached unprecendented levels. Retailers are at a loss to explain the unexpected boom which exceeds the usual Christmas shopping rush.

Perfectly justified my eye. The point is your fans complained bitterly, there's are doing likewise. Thats what all clubs fans do. So let them get on with I say...

There's a huge difference there Dodge, which that gammy eye of yours seems unable to see.
Did clubs sign up to FAI incompetence in the handling of suspensions at the start of the season ? No. But that's what some of us got.
Did clubs sign-up to a premier division in 2007 that would only be fractionally determined by on-the-pitch performace in 2006 ? Yes. And that's what all of us got.
There is a huge difference, spelt out clearly for you there in black and white. End of story.
End of story because you said so Steve? Derry profited from 2 (at best) iffy decisions from the league/FAI this year while others (Rovers, Bohs, Cork, Dundalk etc) suffered. So you backing them up doens't really come as a surprise.
if you want to go over how Derry's point deduction was different than Bohs or the "lets wipe the slate clean" Dublin City decision, go ahead but at least have the decency to acknowledge that fans of those clubs have a right to at least query the decisions

100% iNCORRECT in fact.
there is recourse to appeal the decision
Just because it says on here there will be doesn't mean there will be. From this end I'd be very surprised to see Waterford appeal this.
However, despite seeing it said somewhere officially that there would be no redress, I did also think I read somewhere else that the make up of the Divisions would not be made completely official for a few weeks after the announcement, presumably to leave time for any legal challenges. Did I imagine this?![]()

more bass
It would be a different story if Dundalk had failed to get a Premier License or scored poorly on off-field factors but Licensing/IAG clearly thought that Dundalk were adequately prepared for top-division football next season. The results for the previous 4 seasons (including points awarded for progressing in the League Cup) are what stopped them getting an invitation.
Unless Galway provide multi-storey toilet facilities this statement is FALSE.The jax alone in Terryland would put EVERY other club to shame.![]()
SIGNATURESCOPE
What was the alternative to signing up for this process.
Disband your club? Play in a breakaway league outside FAI/UEFA?
As a neutral I am much happier with Galway in the top flight than Dundalk but I have a bit of sympathy. But people should at least stop harping on about Dundalk signing up in advance.
Cogito ergo Bohs
Not really. did well considerig they haven't had a premier license before. Certaily improving
