Dublin - Wexford 85.8 miles (further than Longford, Athlone, Monaghan)
Bit harsh, closeness to Dublin already cost Waterford and Dundalk a place in the Delaneyship![]()
Anyway, how long is it since the expungency of Dublin City? Surely ample time to get a replacement inThe fact that they couldn't announce the full line-up of next season's shiny new league, not to mention they can't even commit to how many teams will be in the league does not bode well.

Actually, from looking at the FAI press release it seems to indicate that Wexford (or any other club) will not be ready to take their place in time for the new season and that there will be 8 or 9 clubs, depending on how Limerick's appeal goes.
The remaining nine clubs will participate in the First Division. They are (in alphabetical order): Athlone Town, Cobh Ramblers, Dundalk, Finn Harps, Kildare County, Kilkenny City, Limerick*, Monaghan United, Waterford United.

They will hardly do a league with 8 teams????
Would they?
It'd make more sense to have one 20 team division than have an 8 team first- now that would be a turn-up for the books!
Anyway, I suspect Limerick will survive in some form and that at least one team will join the league (and they may even get two if Limerick don't make it).
