there are way to many get out clauses all over the place - as someone earlier said - this could go to courts - ala shels etc. over the years
the rules that were put down at the start should have been stuck to and unaltered - with no loopholes in it
but this is the FAI what do we expect!
more water!
What is all this throwing money to gain promotion "Bull****" coming from. The work that has gone on at United over the last 4 years has been in sorting out our club from the bottom up to ensure we met all requirements for Licencing and the criteria for the new Premier Division.
Fair Play to Dundalk for their on field progress this season but without your "Sugar Daddy" would the club still be in existence.
From what I hear things behind the scenes in Oriel are not as good as we are led to believe and losing one of your best assets on a whim of the owner is not exactly the best way to run a club.
I think you forget but we also have received a Premier license and met the criteria. By spouting the crap of Massive club, best run club etc etc some of you feel that you will sway the FAI decision. How ofay are you all with things that go on behind the scenes at other clubs, You seem to know more about every other club in this league than the supporters who go to the games of their team
Marley if you copped on the only one spouting massive is Conor and thats a **** take Pa Dunne started about 10 years ago when Rovers and Bohs fans were dick swinging on the old el site.
The amount of clowns who genuinely think i feel we're a massive club is unbeliveable!![]()
GUFCT is right myself and PD always have a laugh about it.
You're not even able to have a sense of humour on this forum anymore...![]()

Whats with all the fightin and the fuedin? The fact is EVERY club signed up to this and we won't know till next monday. Ye can argue all ye like then but right now its getting a bit stupid.
be starting next monday sadly.i had one thread about 2 months asking "are we in the premiership already?" and that went on for about 5 pages worth of posts and i thought that was the end of it but since then theres been at least 2 more threads dealing with the issue.but if it isnt clear and transparent next monday then all hell could break lose here.
btw, does anyone know what time next monday the announcement will be made at??ill be in college but will not be turning off my phone in any lec cause will be waiting for a text.but what time should i expect a text at,morning/afternoon?????
Next Monday will be the beginning......not the end.
Two scenarios:
1.We get promoted and therfore receive an onslaught of whining and moaning from Dundalk,UCD fans and especially Limerick fans.(really just the 2 WUM's Lim till i Die and Jebus)
2.We're kept in the 1st Divison and consequently will be forced to endure the sickening glee from lim till i Die,Jebus and a few UCD fans.
We all know i'll be the one in the middle of the arguements either way....![]()

Not a hope Galway will be promoted if the criteria are implemented as they have been laid out.
The difference off the field is not big enough to overcome UCD Bray or Waterford with their on the field rankings

I think there is a bigger gap than that in the on the field rankings. I dont have time to work them out now but the difference in position for the last 4 years make it seem like there are more.
Why do you think ye will beat Bray in marketing, attendences, youth development or strategic planning? Or is it just guesswork. id say ye would be very close on all of the above.
Yes ye would have the upperhand on geographical location but that is only worth 10% of the off the field on a sliding scale.
Theres not much point arguing about this but honestly cant see ye overtaking them.
Well see Monday then one of us can say I told you so![]()
You can't blame Galway Utd if they get an advantage from this situation. All the clubs agreed that a new division would be created and teams that met on-field and off the field criteria would be in the Premier division.
The situation could have arose where United won the league and did not get promoted and if that happened they would not be moaning about being hard done by.
Of course this method is against basic sporting principles but when all parties involved agreed to this procedure then nobody has a right to cry when it doesn't go their way.
Complain all you like, it won't change a thing
I think the whole criteria are a bit of a joke as they don't take into account clubs sorting themselves out off the pitch while in the first divsion such as Sligo and Galway whereas a club living beyond their means in the premier division seems to be ok , are Dublin Citys results from the last 5 years excluded?

Word on the street from the heads at the u 21 final.... The Eleven that are there now plus Rovers, and Wexford to join the first division. Mick Wallace is the sugardaddy in Wex.
