what is our ethos sort out your club and move forward thats what it is lims and everybody in Galway is fully behind it.
Therein lies the issue
3 points or 23 fact is ye didn't do it on the pitch, yes all the clubs were coralled into signing up to the superleague, but it just genuinely doesn't sit right.
Any Galway fans at all not feel a bit empty about this "promotion"![]()
Of course the league needs well run clubs, I would disagree about every club adopting Galways attitude and ethos though

Just out of interest, where do you think you will be ahead of us in off the field conor? You also have to be ahead of another club ie UCD, Waterford or bray. I really cant see both our clubs going up as that would mean that two current premier clubs will have to go down.
I dont think you understand, we are ahead of ye already in on the pitch criteria, as we have a better 5 years record (or is it 4 years??). Off the field we should be getting 100% IMO so we havent any reason to believe that we are lacking in any department there as we have achieved everything set out by the FAI. So, we may not be miles ahead of ye but we definitely arent behind anyone in the league either!
Yes LTID, but we were told early in the season what was needed to get into next years "delaney division" and have to abide by that, even if we rathered to get promoted for winning the league instead of winning a raffle! just something we all have to live with this year.

"Cause Galway are MASSIVE"-RW Rover on 24/8/07 00:29am
It ha. But that wasn't the issue at hand. The issue was why Galway are so happy to ignore what is clearly a travesty of sporting principles. Your reply is utterly meaningless in that regard.
[BTW - the whole "We don't have to explain/justify anything to any of yee" - very Shels...]
Sure Limerick are my second club - can reciprocate if you want.![]()
All I did was give you a scarfAre Ucd fans bought that easily??
![]()
Now best stick our heads back under the parapet before some Galway fan comes rampaging through screaming "criteria, massive, tiny, IAG, five years" and other such words in a vain attempt at justification
And a fine scarf it was too! It's got more to do with where I was born though, remember? And the fact that there isn't a Kerry team yet. Once Tralee Dynamos or Tarbert Kickers come in next year, you can sod off.![]()
As much as I'd love to see us playing Premier Division football next year, I think it would be better for us to go up as Champions of the First Division. I know all about criteria etc etc, but let's face it, as a football team, we're not good enough. There was a lot of mediocrity, even after Cousins arrival.
We had a few impressive results and good performances towards the end of last season, but do we really want to go up and have to inevitably struggle against relegation. We've lost our best player for the past 2 years and will do well to find a good enough replacement. We'd need at least 5 or 6 players at least to compete. In the long term, I'd prefer to go up as the best team in the division and then build on that success.
By the way, i hate having to agree with Lim till I Die cos he spouts some awful rubbish, but it would be a very empty feeling.
I've had an empty feeling for the past 5 years watching 1st division crap, i wouldnt mind having an empty feeling watching premier division crap![]()
