The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

If we hadn't been raped over the Dublin City disgrace, we'd have been at least above Drogs and probably above Derry too so fair play doesn't come into this.

Were they giving 6 points for a win against Dublin City this season?

Dry your eyes Peader, the FAI followed international precedent in the Dublin City affair.

Love the way the Derry lads are happy with the FAI when it suits them. You failed to beat Dublin and when they ran like cowards from the league, you had the luxury of two free fixture dates, which helped your fixture congestion. If you had to play them, you'd have had another 20 threads on here about how the league should be extended because you had too many games to play.
Poor Derry, they managed to equal what Shels and Cork City had done in Europe but the bad league didn't respect them and restructure the league to suit them.
The Dublin City affair, the Hargan affair, the dodgy decisions which ensured you won your last 3 league games. No wonder you're happy with the way the league is run.

Oh dear, its all coming out now......but don't let the truth get in the way of your rant.

Firstly, we had one fixture date, having played Dublin twice.

And secondly what were the "dodgy decisions" that resulted in Derry beating Cork? Us playing 11 players perhaps?

and I'm far from happy at the way the League is run.

Are you telling me that Derry played Dublin twice and lost twice to them?

Your goal against us should have been ruled out for offside. The dogs on the street could see that!

Any and all complaints re the fortunes of Cork City FC across the 2006 season should be forwarded to :

    Mr Damien Richardson
    Turners Cross
    Cork
    Ireland

cc'ing a Mr George O'Callaghan (though not at the same address......! )

At least we have a manager who knows how to win the league. Even with all the luck and dodgy decisions, you still couldn't do that.

The only reason Derry won the cup was because of the biased Dublin ref

In fairness, wws, the wind scored their 3rd and 4th goals for them. Not much the ref. could have done about the weather.

We played Dublin City twice and one once and lost once.

Having been directly across from the goal at the Brandywell he was well onside (confirmed by TV).

As for your comments re the Cup Final, we played better, we deserved to win. We won.

Now run along and take your frustrations out somewhere else.

Peader, Farrens goal against Cork was offside? !!!!!! Wise up. He was clearly onside - I was directly in line with it in the Glentoran stand that night. He caught your defenders for pace - end of story. You, I presume you were in block A and given the view from there I presume you are taking your opinion from Rico who was the only person apart from you to mention it.

I actually watched the Shels v Bohs match last night and the clip supplied by Rte of the goal shows Farren get onto the long pass without a hint of offside.
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

Are you honestly arguing that is nothing in the slightest amiss with a Dublin based ref officiating at a Cup Final with Derry as one of the teams?

thats a turn up for the books

I still object to non-geographically neutral refs being appointed to any fixture as they are in any other decent League in the world. By the same token, appointing the cousin of one of the players as an assistant ref is possibly even more ridiculous.

I think Hancock is a clown in any case but he had a good game given the conditions. I certainly wasn't among those booing him at the end. No idea which linesman was on the East Stand side but he was brutal (would be ironic if that was Delaney's cousin Ciaran).

Maths ain't your strongest point is it Peadar? Had they been reinstated we'd still have finished 3 points ahead of ye. Yer right thought that ye'd have finished above Drogheda on goal difference.

chillax man im only havin a laff.
the cribbin over "dublin refs" is patently ludicrous from fans of certain clubs
we've all got tales of being ridden rock solid by refs - ive no doubt they're all 100% above board its just in Ireland we have too many utterly crap ones
