    Military seizes power in Fiji.....again

I'll probably be posting a similiar article next year, but for all it's worth here's the latest on this year's insurgents in Fiji

Tropical Island, you'd imagine they'd be a bit more chilled out

Maybe we could get Bertie to send them some Malibu

I have a mate who was born in Fiji but he moved to NZ as a child and regards himself as a New Zealander now, from my time in Oz there are a lot of ex PNG & Fiji natives particularly in Queensland who moved to get away from the strife in both countries.
Shame because it's supposed to be a stuning place, a lot of backpackers do a stop off there for some R&R on the way to/from Oz & NZ.

cue the Comoros Islands. They've had more coups there than Shels have had winding up orders.

Seriously, Fiji is another great by-product of British colonialism. Settlers brought in, get the best jobs and ride the natives rock solid.

Where did we hear that oen before?
