put simply... a proportion of every ticket price goes on fixed costs... security, insurance, stewards etc, and regardless of capacity these costs increase proportionately so the same ticket price would be necessary for 10,000 as for 110,000 people (give or take a small amount of fixed costs, say covered by corporate box profits). Rent at croke is the big thing and €1.5m/75,000 spectators is €20 a ticket... roughly the increase in price. Fair dos, and the stadium will be full for the wales, slovakia and germany games
and of course ticket prices won't be reduced at lansdowne... sure they'll have huge loans to pay back. I'm sure they won't be able to raise much of the capital without lending.
