Maybe so but it has to be transperant and indicate how every team suceeded or failed in getting into the Top 12.They can't say Waterford got in it cause John Delaney said so.

Yep, if when the Divisions are decided its shown clearly the breakdown of
points for each club then no team can complain about where they are placed.
Unless that is there are inconsistencies in the points per criteria

Why not? This is the FAI we're talking about. I would be amazed if they released a points tally, for example. Especially given that previous points tallies distributed by the FAI and as posted on here were actually wrong.

I will respect any decision taken if it is transparent and can be linked to the IAG report. However, I don't think it will be.

    shels have

serious tax issues, cork are going back fully part time, dundalk dont have a proper pitch which gives them an unfair advantage, sham rvs dont have a home-and these are clubs who might get into it ahead of the likes of ourselves, cobh, bray who dont have any off pitch issues of note.theres so many issues for and against some clubs.whats really pi**ing me off is that the IAG will only be recommending clubs to the FAI and their decision isnt final.so ive a qs,was there any FAI officals present the day the presentations were made to the IAG???if there wasnt then what was the point of presenting a case to them because the FAI is an own boys clubs who will keep the likes of s.rvs, shels in it despite them maybe not being recommended by the IAG.
i cant remember the last time an issue got so many posts on any m.b or forum.i think the paul marney affair on the old eircom.net mb would be the only thing able to rival this for amount of discussion generated .

The IAG will not be making the decisions, the FAI will. If they so desire they can completley disregard what the IAG recommend. As you all know lads and lassies the FAI are even less predictable than the weather were having at the moment. When the announcement is made John D will blind us all with his own brand of science and expect us all to be as convinced as he is that his is the only way forward. On the other hand if complete transparency exists and all things appear equal!!! people still wont be happy. Someone has to loose out. If the worst happens and GUFC dont get the nod the fact that we didnt mortgage the family silver will stand to us and the improvements made on and off the field over the last while will make GUFC some force in the so called First division next season. Bring it on!!!!!!

I dunno - if we get screwed over, we'll walk all over you next season just like in 2004.

    john gill

dundalk manager was on radio 1 at 6.30 this evening with Des cahill saying it would be a travesty of justice if they dont get in. There PR machine in dundalk is in full spin now and they will make it hot and heavy for the fai. It will be interesting to see the fine he gets for bringing the game into disrepute in a fashion unrivalled this season. i suppose thsi multo millionaire business man white knight from dundalk will cough up the dough. Jesus the way gill was talking they had bigger plans than chelsea for world domination.
i do have to say though their fans travel in big numbers and i have an ounce of sympathy for them

The SUGARDADDYS soon get fed up pouring money in the black holes that are most EL clubs. The Dundalk dons will move on someday too and they will be back where the have been so many times lately, still clutching to their excuse for playing on a Thursday night. The aforementioned manager will head down the M1 too as soon as it goes pearshaped.

It really wouldn't surprise me if, say, they were to decide that only clubs with the letter "S" in their name were to be in the Premier Division!

Another good thing that came out of the AGM last night. They were talking about how Dundalk are trying to put a squeeze on the IAG and the FAI to get themselves promoted. They are nearly 100% sure that they will not be influenced that anything Dundalk are saying now because Dundalk knew what they signed up to at the start and they wont just include them because of winning the playoffs
Homer: I'm gonna make sure these deliveries are made on time.
Bart: Let me come with you
    Homer: Dont you have school!
    Bart: Dont you have work!
    Homer: Ah Touche!

"dundalk manager was on radio 1 at 6.30 this evening with Des cahill saying it would be a travesty of justice if they dont get in."

Dundalk voted in favour of the new FAI-led regime and all that entailed. End of story.

I happened to be looking on a Leinster Senior League forum the other day and somehow it seems a lot of Dundalk fans are convinced the playoff was only invented a few weeks ago. One guy even said a player who is a relation of his is livid about it!
