...so no harm he got a few smacks from the aussies, he hit a couple of refs in his time and players, leading in particular to "expulsion" from the G.A.A, i think pete is refering to his all-round thuggery.

ya you are right aberdonian_stu, how did you know about them though? i shouldn't have put them in, looking back it could be viewed as slander and shouldn't be posted on a public forum.

Guys just please trust me, it's a slippery slope to libel (not slander, there's a misconception that libel refers specifically to print when the difference is based on whether the act is recorded or not).

I'm sure most people here heard the stories the same way everyone else did.

Stu - You're technically correct of course but there's not a chance in hell of the said gent going to court over any of the alleged stories. Waaay to much to lose.

Geraghty appeared on the late late show along with Paddy Cullen a couple a few years back.Both had been the victim of malicous rumours which turned out to be complete ********.For the record Geraghtys wife appeared on as well.

Geraghty was recently on holidays, and standing in the airport with his family, when a bunch of Dubs started roaring abuse at him in front of his family, fair play to him he kept his cool, i think him running as a canditate for FG is a scandal, in all fairness you couldn't imagine him on Questions and Answers but then again Bush is the President of the USA... so anything is possible...

He was bloody awful.Came across like he just had no interest in the topics being discussed.Q&A needs a bit of spicing up but the non politicos on the beebs Question time seem to have a grasp of issues being discussed.
