This is a very subjective thread if one were to put down a few markers such as points out of 10 for the following

    Pitch
    Clubhouse
    Dressing rooms
    Car parking
    All weather training facilities
    Supporters
    Sponsors
    involvement with the local community
    Schoolboy/ Girl setup
    Youth Setup
    Active and inclusive committee
    Good dicipline

Add them all together and then see who comes out top but remember its not about winning cups and leagues just about the best run club

Best rub club in limerick is.....

    Murroe A.F.C.
I note with interest that all clubs listed by all posters so far in this thread are city clubs, there is life outside the city limits lads!

    Murroe A.F.C.
F.A.I. National Club of the Month for Feb 06
    2 full size playing pitches
    Floodlit All-weather training pitch
    Clubhouse
    Plenty of car-parking
Bought and paid for the land on which all this sits, unlike a lot of clubs who get land given to them or leased long term from county/city councils.
And as of last Friday night the club debt is now nil.
2 junior mens teams, 1 senior ladies team, 15 schoolboy/girl teams
Memebers of club sitting on L.C.S.L. committee, L.D.M.C. committee, and Limerick Ladies League committee. and so on ................
can any club in Limerick top that?

    what about purely training facilities.....................

alot of clubs have to pay good money to other bodies such as LIT / Villiers/ UL etc to rent them weekly...... maybe a bit of investment would pay off and clubs could actually rent out their own facilities to generate income to better the club and therefor soccer as opposed to paying for other clubs/bodies facilities. eg astro turf/ lights etc. ??????????????????????????

Pitch: Pike field has been consistently the best for many seasons now.
Clubhouse: Pike a bit dated but very good. Boro likewise. Fairview club also very good.
Dressing rooms: Anybody but Pike, but I believe they're making improvements there.
Car parking: Pike on match days....not at night though.
All weather training facilities: UL provide excellent facilities for all clubs to use.
Supporters: Each to their own I guess. All clubs in Limerick are very very clannish.
    Sponsors: Pike
involvement with the local communityi? Most country clubs.
    Schoolboy/ Girl setup: Dines
    Youth Setup: Dines/Wembley
Active and inclusive committee: All committee members that pull their weight deserve to be cannonised. I did this for several years with a now sadly defunct club and know that it is nothing but a thankless job.
Good dicipline : Varies from year to year I suppose.

I suppose I would consider Pike the best run club in town and if they restore the schoolboys and youths to what they were years ago, they will be a super example of what a football club should be.

IF wembley had the resources the other top club have
they would be one of the
best as they have a great youth system going on there

In My own opinion Murroe would be the best run club at the moment in Limerick

    Pitch: two excellent pitches
Clubhouse: Club house to meet the clubs needs and also the needs of the community
    Dressing rooms: Superb dressing rooms
Car parking: Ample parking for home and away teams
All weather training facilities: Superb Floodlit all weather playing surface
Supporters: When see they are vocal
Sponsors: Dont know but as the club is debt free its a small point
involvement with the local community: Excellent involvement
Schoolboy/ Girl setup: One of the strongest in the league
    Youth Setup: Dont know
Active and inclusive committee: Very active very forward seeing committee
Good dicipline: Good both on and off the field

Pitch closest to clubhouse in Murroe is very poor. Huge slope down to one corner. Apart from that, excellent set up.
    18 times, and that's a fact.
