Alan Kelly = PFAI referee of the year!

I no footballers are thick but this is takin the mick!

    HOW????

How can a referee who was suspended for one month for missing a goal that happened right in front of him, that his linesman told him went in, get this award from the players??

No Bohs player voted for him, that's for sure.

Not to mention missing a blatant, potentially title-deciding penalty on the last day of the season.

I think it's like when Beckham does well in the World Player of the Year awards - more people have heard of him so he gets more votes than more deserving but less publicity-whorish individuals...

Players voting for the best referees is akin to a death penalty convict being given the choice as to what way they want to die.

Yeah of course and also heard his excuse. At the time when asked why he gave a free out he said McGuinness was all over Heary. Now watch it again.
