    Going to the World Cup

The start of a possible well-paid kickarse job doing something I love (I.T. Tech Support) - just hope I can nail the 3 months probationary period

The short experience of living in Dublin

Celebrating my 27th birthday in Dublin with a bunch of good friends

Being part of those of voted to sell Dalymount Park, getting a new stadium and a hefty wedge of cash in exchange - doing something really spectacular for the club I love

Refereeing in Holland at Easter with a good bunch of lads

    Another cracking Norway trip

    Lows

My hospitalisation and subsequent illness earlier in 2006

The way the whole Ireland thing unravelled spectacularly

Not being in work for 5 months - cabin fever set in somewhat

Losing a much-liked and respected member of a family of a refereeing colleague to cancer in September - a superb turnout of people at the funeral - and a fitting send off for the bloke - one of the most emotional funerals I've been to though
    Kom Igen, FCK...

Should have mentioned Bohs season in the Lows but had blocked that out for obvious reasons.

    Highs:

    1. Finally getting where I wanted to be career wise

    2. Meeting up with friends I haven't seen in two years

    3. Good times with friends in Cork

    Lows:

    1. Not knowing that it would take 6 months before I would get paid in my new job because of all the 'red tape'.

    2. Having to move home because of all the red tape.

    3. Leaving behind some great friends and times in Cork City

    4. Not getting on all that well with my work mates

An early high for 2007: I will be submitting my Masters thesis within a week or two.
