U cant get decent heroin in this town anymore
I blame the northies they've the market sewn up with their gun gangs.....
Dublin South Central to be precise
I'm a little disappointed in the supposed ticket sales from Derry's end.
If it's true that we've only sold about 5500 tickets.
FFS we were able to take 3000 to Scotland for the Gretna game and 3000 to Paris for the PSG game.
I think the fact that it's on a cold December has alot to do with it.
Bring back Summer football............................oh wait this is summer football![]()

Almost exactly as many as we brought to the 2002 Final.
Again, I'm bemused by people's enthusiasm for a 25,000 crowd (1000% more than the better teams get week on week). I'd much rather us add 500-1000 regular attenders rather than drag up 10,000 people who go to a game once a decade.
Agree the Final for me is about a day out for the regulars that
watch week in week out. A reward if you like, for watching the rubbish as well as the good matches, if that means there is
only 5 thousand at it who cares

Bohs are going bust.
All well and good but that never happens...well for the country teams it doesnt. I mean we had about 1500 at every game 2003/2004 and yet we brought almost 10,000 in 2003 and 8,000 in 2004 to the cup finals. People are fickle and enjoy a good day out!
Ever get the feelin' you have been cheated?
It was just under 10,000 actually and I used a rounded up figure as with the 2003 figure, simply to show how fickle people can be! My argument was in relation to the day being for regulars and not people who love the day out

100% correct. How on earth do we expect to increase the crowds. People aren't going to go and watch St Pat's/Derry v Waterford/Bray. This game is a showpiece and should be used as a marketing tool. This is the most coverage we get in the national media throughout the seasnon.
To confine the FAI Cup final to the die-hards is the type of insular attitude that is killing the league.
I can see where the original poster was coming from, but the post was misguided at best.
