According to yesterday's Star the FAI are expecting a crowd of 25,000.-> if they are expecting that many. Also the Atrane Boys Band are playing so I'm definitely going because of that

The official attendance in 1990 AFAIK was 32,000, just asked my dad he played in it so he knows, bray brought just over 20k fans apparently, i cant imagine st.francis bringing 12,000 fans but maybe they did, he said he couldnt remember free tickets being given away, maybe everyone ever connected with the club came because lets be realistic they may never get there again. Funny, where have about 18,500 of those fans gone since 1990 :P!

RIP JOHNNY
And their sons too!!!![]()
I really can't remember anything about free tickets though. Again anybody with any connection to the Liberties went. Think the crowd was 32,000 alright, and AT LEAST 20,000 of them were supporting St. Francis.
I remember going to the semi-final v Bohs at Tolka that year too and there was a decent crowd of maybe about 8,000?
I can assure everyone 100% that sizeable numbers were let in for free on the day, and it was made known in-advance that this would happen.
I remember it clear as day myself. Hence a junior team and an unfashionable one pulled in c. 30,000.
remember that too Steve, wasn't it the first final at lansdowne too?
I got a letter from the FAI about it.
Thanking me and offering a discount of the Cup Final for my continued support
Had to contact them by a certain date as far as I know.
I'm out of the country at the moment so just had it read out to me over the phone. Dunno if there was anything else in it.

There's no return date on the form, it's €10 less for the East Upper than via ticketmaster.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Heard that Derry are continuing the tradition of giving away tickets. School kids in the City were being given tickets. Didn't drogs do this too last year?
Have Boot Disk, will travel
tickets are selling like hot cakes
I'm going for circa 15k for Sunday next.
Pats - 4k
Derry - 9k
Neutrals the rest.
go on the "neutrals"
u must be the ticketmaster CEO
You mean you or someone you were talking to read one post on our site but didn't read the ones after it...?![]()
DCFC are certainly not giving any tickets away for free. It's the FAI who are allegedly doing this, but definitely not the club.
We've apparently sold out almost all our own allocation, and are selling the East Upper now that Ticketmaster have given us a few sections there.
10,000 SOLD SO FAR (as of last night).
Thats everyone, every outlet. Both Pats and Derry sell on their ticketmaster machines. so 10,000 is what was sold in total last night on all ticketmaster machines
54,321 sold - wws will never die - ***
