[QUOTE=WeAreRovers;575806]"Rovers have probably the best supporters in the country" Paul Osam, 13/11/2006.
Ozo publicly utters the great unspoken truth that bitter fans of smaller clubs refuse to acknowledge.![]()
And carlsberg probably have the best beer but we all know it tastes ****e.

1. Shels
2. Bohs
3. Pats
4. Rovers
5. UCD
6. Drogheda
7. Cork City
8. Derry City
9. Longford Town
10. Sligo Rovers
11. Galway Utd
12. Finn Harps
seems a good balance of teams with nice grounds, good set of fans, and geographically well spread (hence why I'd include Finn Harps and Galway). Too many Dublin sides really, but the four bigger teams are just traditional sides and should be included (+ good for Shels to have some derby games) and UCD's just a charming enough team and should not be let out.
Ideally... Dundalk, Drogs, Rovers, Bohs, Pats, Cork, Derry, Sligo, Harps, Galway, Limerick, Athlone
Semi-Realistically... Dundalk, Drogs, Rovers, Bohs, Pats, Cork, Derry, Sligo, Harps, Galway, Shels, Waterford/Bray
Fair... top 10, plus Rovers, plus winners of Waterford/Dundalk/Galway.. crazy, I know.
Yeh, its a bit harsh on Shels, but any of the clubs listed above would attract at least as many punters as Shels, without ****ing the rest of us off to the same extent.
Yeh, its a bit harsh on UCD, but for me a club is about its supporters... and I think UCD have some fantastic supporters... unfortunately you could fit them all in a phonebox.

I'd like Galway and Harps in it but it should be
Shelbourne
Derry City
Cork City
Drogheda U
Sligo Rvrs
UCD
St Pat's
Longford
Bohemians
Bray Wndrs
Shamrock R
and either Galway, Dundalk or Waterford (who ever wins the playoffs)
sorry if i touched a nerve conor H, and im not an idiot im intitled to my opinion. ya galway do get results but they arnt playing very good football. the game last week was shocking and ye got a few lucky breaks to beat a weakened ramblers side as the tg4 cameras showed. galway had very good teams before, but a few wins against ramblers and rovers doesnt make ya as good as some of ye galway supporters think.![]()
Well the whole Premier and First Division FAI/Uberleague project may be thrown into flux if.... the clubs with serious financial problems do not survive the winter. I have mentioned this before, but it is possible that next season their maybe one 18 team League , from the clubs that survive the winter!
Ack, I can't see the league losing 3 members this winter, maybe one or two but not 3!
Anyway, my ideal premier would be:
Harps, Derry, Sligo, Shels,
Bohs, Shamrock Rovers, Longford, Waterford,
Cork, UCD, St Pats, Drogheda,
Dundalk, Galway, Bray, Athlone.
Yes, that's 16 rather than 12, but it's what I'd like to see. I left Limerick out as they're in a bit of a mess at the minute, jumped Athlone over Cobh because of their new ground which is probably harsh.
