I reckon once Pietersen gets out thats it for them, more than once in this series KP has been batting through with the tail collapsing around him, i'd expect something similar tomorrow, but when/if he goes i'd expect no more than 30 runs from the rest of them, especially without a recognised batsman alongside them to offer advice/encouragement!

5-0 for the first time since the 1920's, honestly didnt expect it to be THAT one sided! God England are pants!!!

Thomas Davis have said they will be the last man standing, they were WRONG!!

My cricket knowledge is minimal but the England tail end looked like scared lambs to the slaughter yesterday.

I think England gave up 3 tests ago.

Ed Joyce says he regrets declaring for England as he's more chance of winning the World Cup with Ireland

The Aussies were brilliant - total winners every one of them and the most emphatic way to put their disappointment of 2005 behind them. Hayden still didn't impress me much but Warne, McGrath, Langer, Ponting & Gilchrist are legends and Husset will soon become one. Lee is still in his prime & Clark looks good. Will be interesting to see what they're like in 2009 and beyond.

One of the understatements of all times from Flintoff earlier today- It hasn't quite gone the way we wanted it to.

And one of the overstatements as well - none of the players let him down all those players in the changing room gave everything they could

Bob Willis spared no one yesterday on Sky Sports with his comments regarding Englands preparation and how they could have fitted in at least 3 more 3 day games before the 1st test.
Harmison got a right going over. All the talk about him needing a few tests to get into his stride, saying that in his day 2 bad games and you were out of the side. Comparing his sour looking non interested face to Brett Lee who even last year when the Aussies were losing had a smile on his face. Adding that you don't see Brett Lee bowling to 2nd slip either.
It was super stuff, Stuart Law next to him didn't know where to look.

The Sky cricket commentators are miles ahead of their soccer brethern.

I see England got stuffed in the 20/20 today with Joyce facing 3 balls and scoring one before he was dismissed.

Joyce only got 5 today against New Zealand before he was run out. England won by 3 wickets and one ball to go.

Will he get another chance as combined with 20/20 performance not improving his case...? I presume he an outsider for the England World Cup squad?

If he doesn't make the England squad, can he still play for us?

Doubt it. Think he's nailed his colours to the mast now. In any event, he's young still (anyone under 40 is young in cricket terms ) so even if he gets dropped or not selected for the WC, there will be more opportunities for him for England if his form at County level holds up. Vaghan may be out with a hamstring injury so I expect him to play in the rest of the 1 dayers.

If Ed Joyce keeps scoring 5 runs an outing, how long before the British media start referring to him as an Irishman again? I wonder

I see the Irish international wicketkeeper has landed a County contract cross channel. How long before perfidious Albion snaffle him too?

Joyce gone for 5 again in tonight's one-dayer. That's the end of our Edmund's England career I'm afraid. English selectors don't offer second chances, not that he's earned one.

I think he's eligible in two months. He was released by Kent and has moved on. Unlikely to trouble the English selectors if Kent allowed him to leave

Joyce was top scorer for England today as they lost another one day international, this time v New Zealand. He got 47 out of England's total of 120

I suppose he has justified his WC place now? 47 off 70 balls when everyone collapsing around you not so bad...

Do Ireland play England in the WC? Ireland probably have a chance...?
