Great news at last![]()
For more see www.finnharps.comFinn Harps FC wish to confirm that the cost consultancy firm engaged to assess the tenders / submissions for the construction of the new Stadium and Training Complex at Stranorlar have completed their assessment, and have recommended local developers, Joseph Mc Menamin and Sons for the Project. Their appointment is subject to the approval of the FAI and Dept. of Sport.
This is great news for the club, it means we're not too far off the actual construction getting started. Obviously things haven't been moving too quickly on the stadium front, but in such a project it's more important to do it right than do it fast.

That is great news, it had gone quite for ages, was wondering what the story was. Fair play lads, its looking a bit better now.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Excellent news for us. Well done to the Ground Development Committee for all their work so far

There has been more massive news on this project in the past few hours as the Minister for Sport went on Highland Radio and said that they would be backing this project.
We now have the FAI, the Minister and the Developer on board and raring to go.

Well done Harps. Never again will I have to stand on that ****ty pile of mud you currently call a Stadium. Any chance of giving us a hand with our plans?

Just heard the news. Absolutely fantastic.
After the worst season in living memory this news is just what we needed.
AFAIK, all we needed was the go ahead for the minister for their slice of the funding to allow the contractor to start digging.
Happy days.
Harps are a club I like, so I'm happy to see this happen.Well done
Great news... just keep it quiet or the GAA will try and move in

No. Basically between the money from the sale of Finn Park and grant money we get a new ground just yards from the original for very little outlay by the club.
Doing up Finn Park would cost millions that we don't have.
