Didn't three of those players start on Friday night for the senior team? 2 games in less than 48 hours is quite draining for young lads I'd imagine.
Quick post lads. Our under 21s were beaten 4 2 by galway today. Our 21s are good but with so many injuries and defections in the last few weeks we were struggling to put out a team. Goals by Colbert and O Boyle
Healy, Moroney, Danagher, Curtin, O'Flynn, Ryan (O'Brian) Hayes, Miller, Bourke, O'Boyle and colbert. Unused sub: collins
There should be a rule though on the quality of the football pitches that the 21s are being forced to play on. Mervue have fine facilities and pitches, pity both teams wern't allowed to play on them.

The ball is round and has many surprises.
Hard luck to Eoin & Co.

Limerick & Galway forced to play on a woeful pitch, while Mervue B had a carpet for their 4-0 + pasting of some other team. They even had the grass cut. Colbert was hobbling all match, drained & sore from 90 mins on Fri and a gruelling season. He is a top player. Dave Ryan was withdrawn after an hour, very tired display, again started on fri.
Did I mention, pitch was woeful. Don't get me started on Officials.
All in all, with 101 reasons to find an excuse as why Limerick lost, they still had enough chances to win the game. Galway took theirs, and progress. Congrats to them.
Congrats also to Wayne Colbert, David Ryan, John Boyle (MOTM V Galway), David Miller, James Hayes for being involved at Senior level so far. Hopefully Paul Dannaher gets a shot before season end.
Despite not winning any u21 trophies, at least the team provided some youthful and skillful solutions to 1st team problems when needed.
