Russia is checking to see whether a floodlight failure that abruptly ended its Euro 2004 qualifier with Georgia was a political provocation. Why would Georgia sabotage a match they weren't even losing? 0-0 at haftime at home to Russia isn't that bad for them is it?
I doubt it was sabotage. Like you say Pete, they weren´t exactly doing badly. Just the russians stirring things up I reckon.
Anyone think that maybe the Russians themselves could have sabotaged the lights? After all, who had more to lose by the game finishing in a draw? Certainly NOT the Georgians.

I reckon it would have been fairly difficult for the russians to manage that, unless the KGB never really disappeared
