    Bohs sign Fenn

Bohemians have narrowed their manager search down to just two men, according to a report in the Irish Sun, while adding Cork City's Neale Fenn to their striking stable for next season.

Sligo boss Sean Connor is now the hot favourite and will possiblity have to slug it out with an unknown British manager, after Pat Dolan and Pat Fenlon were both ruled out of the race.

Connor has led Rovers to Premier Division safety this year, as well as to an FAI Cup semi-final and the Irish Sun maintains that they could very well make their final decision before the end of the week.

Meanwhile, the same publication reports that Fenn has agreed terms on a lucrative three-year deal with the Dublin side.

The striker was left fumed at current league champions Cork City after the club's board refused to talk about a new deal with the 29-year-old until the end of the season (when his current contract expires), so Fenn has looked elsewhere.

In other news, the Board of Directors of Derry City have expressed their "great dismay" at the FAI Appeals board's decision to grant Shelbourne a replay of their August clash against Bohemians.

In a statement released on Thursday night, the club said they intended "to protect, robustly and resolutely, the interests of (the) club" and "intend to pursue all options available".

They have asked supporters to give the squad and manager their full backing in the coming weeks, which according to sources at Bohs could see up to 4,000 fans travelling to Dublin for the replay of the controversial fixtures.

It would absolutely hilarious if Connor left Sligo and then didn't get the Bohs job.

Dolan as Director of Football or something? Connor as first team coach?

Strange move for Bohs there- it would seem mad to me that they would be signing players before choosing a manager. Whoever will get the job has obviously already identified targets.

Although quite why one of those targets is a striker on big money who's scored three goals this season is beyond me to be honest.

It worked out well for Bohs the last time they did this kinda thing with the signing of Foley the day before sacking Kenny.

So on that basis Bohs have missed their intended target - the man who's bettered Connor - Johnny Mac

Connor has no qualifications for the job - totally unproven

beating Carrigaline, Bray and Killester after a replay is hardly an inspiring achievement

Can only beat those put in front of you , In fairness he took a club in the doldrums on 1st Division to being a Top 5 club and FAI Cup semifinalists in less than 2 years so thats not a bad acheivement.

wild rover - sligo havent won a game since he linked himself with the bohs job - Pats will definitely overtake sligo in the league and have obviously gone further in the cup - if its true bohs have gone for him they've acted rashly IMO

After a replay in Killester's case...

I hope he signs Foy for Bohs. Thats the main reason I think he's a spoofer. He actually gave a full time contract to Keith Foy...

Why not? He is (at the very least) one of the most promising young managers in the League regardless of irrational chips on some people's shoulders.
