heard yesterday that phelan's flying over tomorrow (monday)
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I don't think Terry is the answer to our situation. I think if we're a professional club with pros on the books then it might make sense to give it to an experienced manager this time around.
Whether Roy Coyle is the right man i don't know, but someone like that with a bit of experience might be the way to go and ideally someone who lives on the island and isn't likely to head back to England when a job comes along.
sean connor might be out of a job soon enough...any chance of a mighty return???
Terry Phelan would not be my choice...he doesnt inspire any confidence...i met him one and he never struck as a future football team manager (although that is not part of the criteria of being a good manager). His past record is poor and what extra would he bring to sligo?
You heard it here first lads...
Thats a surprise! Is it true?
"Are those my feet" Fr Jack Hackett
wouldnt mind at all!
would he be player manager?
Wasnt even on the bench, not sure if he has even started any of Derry games this season.
interesting...would he be up to it? Passionate anyway...
Doubt it!! He's still studying and to become a full-time manager would interupt. He is studying to become a social worker. Also he has some gas left in the tank and will want another league medal before he hangs up his boots. Somehow i doubt he'd win it at the Showgrownds. Pascal Vaudequin finished with Trojans (a local team) last week and he may well be your next manager
gavin has the job with glen young and john lynch as assits
And what job is that, Roverman? Taking away the asbestos from the shed?
