    UCD vs Sligo

I think a win is on the cards in this one. It will be their third game in 6 days so that isn't going to help them, but I would still be confident of us winning regardless of that. Sligo are a different team away from The Showgrounds, illustrated in their defeats against us and Derry twice. I say we will win by a goal or two to nil.

Touch wood that 5-0 hammering will take the wind out of them. They've a very porous defence, so I'd say we'll score. Whether or not we can keep them out is another matter.

My only concern is that we could be exploited down our right hand side.

Match preview up on Aertel -

UCD go for a hat-trick of wins over Sligo Rovers without the banned Keith Doyle and fellow full-back Alan Mahon (hamstring).

Midfielder Paul Crowley's season is over after he broke an ankle in the 1-0 win over Bohemians last week.

Likewise, Sligo midfielder Chris Turner won't play again this season after chipping a bone in his ankle in the 5-0 FAI Cup semi-final defeat to Derry on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper John O'Hara (thumb) is also out along with banned defenders Gavin Peers and Liam Burns.

Ye are going to win. Practically all our defence is out-O'Hara, Burns, Peers, Turner and we are managerless...feck all to play for now.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

I don't know some of your players might want to impress before moving to Bohs

UCD are going to win because History is against Sligo Rovers. Last time they won at Belfield Park was way back in 1982. And they will never get a chance to win there again... cause we are moving to the Bowl next season.

That won't have any influence on the outcome. Different players, different management. I hate when records like this are brought up- they can sometimes be very deceiving. I doubt many of the players will be aware of this fact.

It looks set up for UCD to take the points but we made tough work of putting away a ruderless Bohs last week. The pressure is off Sligo with nothing to fight for, they might relax and try to do something for the fans plus there will be fresh players coming it. I'll go for a draw.

Kavanagh was excellent against Bohs, caused them huge problems down that side all game. I wouldn't even think about dropping him.

25 years roughly since their last win there, 12 years for last win anywhere.

In 1986 in the League Cup was Rovers last win in Belfield.
In the League it was 1982, and Sligo won three times in all in the League there.
