So the Blackburn game wasn't exactly the stroll in the park you are making it out to be.

I can guarantee Sunderland have had no shots on target against Man City, simple because they haven't played them

It proves that clean sheets are very difficult to grind out in the Premier league; which, as clearly evidenced by my posts, is all I am saying. Not only must you play well, you need a bit of luck too. Making it doubly difficult. I think their defense has played well, Toure and Dunne were excellent in my opinion against Andy Keogh, who looked a real handful. Doyle also took some containing when he came on.

Was your main point that Man City's defence is shaky enough to ensure they need Dunne?

As we both said, it is too early to make a judgment on their defence as a whole. Though I would agree that they need Dunne, but that is only because I rate Dunne. I reckon any club with Dunne on their books ought to keep, and play, him.
