    Subbuteo

My son, who is five, got a subbuteo game for his Birthday in July, and is mad into it. I'd like to get him some more teams for Christmas, anyone know where I'd be able to get teams only for Subbuteo. Standard Toy shops just seem to have the whole thing, but don't sell the teams separately..

    Any help would be appreciated..

God I rem the days when my bro & I used to take a team each & try paint numbers on back of the jersey....what a mess! Only one that ever came out right was the goalie!

Not sure u can get the teams on their own any more. Think they discontinued when they went bust a few years ago.

I bought a set for my (now ex) husband for christmas...little did he know that I loved it and would whoop his ass!

Must get it for my sons....

Yes, its the fake ones alright, never knew they went bust. I remember we used to cut the numbers out of the papers, and glue them onto the backs of the players, floodlights and all we used to have.. There was some amount of cheating used to go on, I won't name names, they know who they are

I still have some pretty cool 1980's teams. Not for sale though. The Everton team with the white bib. The Man Utd with the white bands, classic Arsenal. Liverpool 86. Ireland euro 88, England world cup 82.

    Some that come to mind....

    I have QPR 1981-82,

    Leeds United Champions 92

Ireland - WC94 qualifying campaign with horrible Three white shoulder stripes ala liverpool.

    Argentina 1990

    Brazil 1970 (genuine)

a mate of mine had Limerick United 1980 but I think it was missing a couple.

Anyone remember Super Striker? I used to have this one as a kid. You had to press the players head for him to kick the ball. Thought it was a great game and you could get really good at bending the ball. This brings back a lot of fond memories.

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

I remember one of my older cousins had a set alright. Was great fun.

I have England, Holland/Blackpool, West Ham, West Germany and Ireland 1990

Argentina, USA, 1994 subbuteo sets among others can't think of them off the top of my head.

Was always looking to get back into collecting them, getting the stands and making a stadium and the whole biz. I
have the flood lights and sub boxes, refs as well. Hopefully I will get back into it. Just haven't had the time. The site i posted above and ebay are your best bet.
