Steve Finnan playing right midfield with Stephen Carr at right back.
If Carr fails to ever recover from his injuries, then yeah, Steven Reid.
Not a bad idea. But i don´t like the thought of playing fellas out of position unless it´s really necessary.Originally posted by brine2

Finnan HAS to be worth a shot. Remember September 1st 2001 and the goal he laid on a plate for McAteer from the right wing position? Absolute MAGIC. And after the fiasco/shambles/farce in Moscow......
Murphy Out Now!!!
Don't forget the ball he gave to Quinn for the equaliser against Germany.
Well remembered. Don't know how I could have forgotten that. 94th minute, Finnan with a long, accurate pass, Quinn's knock down, Keane's goal. I ran out into my front f***in garden cheering, I was so happy!
Murphy Out Now!!!
How about Colin Healy when/if Reid is out injured, he did quite well against Finland, scoring one and setting up another.
Oh no not them again
Problem is, even when he does play at club level, he's seen as more of a central midfielder. Remember, centre to right-wing is NOT an easy transition to make. As I've already stated, though, ANYTHING is worth a shot after Moscow.Originally posted by SÓCcfc
