Hold on Reiteoir. RTE didn't have footage of the incident. You weren't at the game. So you have no idea what happened do you? There you go again with the speculation.

How do you work that out? I could have swore Bohs went out in the 2nd qualifying round? You got to the 1/4 finals of the League Cup and the Semi's of the FAI Cup? Maybe as bad..but how do you think "much worse"?

    Agree totally with this.

Some of my fellow Derry fans are in cuckoo land and seem to have problem with someone criticising their team or individual players. As I said before without Molloy, Derry get bullied in midfield. In big eircom league games there are certain Derry players who hide when man marked and seem only to be able to do it against the weaker teams in the league.
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

Firstly lads, there was no elbow, McHugh caught the Drogheda player by the collar and push him to the ground, still a sending off but not as dramatic or violent as some (who didn't even see it) are claiming.

Other than that I thought Drogheda defended well as they always do and we huffed and puffed without really creating anything major.
    Fair result.

Have to agree with Lofty9, without Molloy in our midfield we are not the same team, we had no ball winner and our passing was awful.
For the Shels game we should play with Molloy and Higgins in the centre and Deery/McGlynn on the right, Brennan/McCourt on the left.

Kenny started whinging when Derry had 16 games to play in the following 64 days.

In 2003 Bohs played UCD on August 29th. It was the first of 23 games in 94 days which became 25 games in 94 days as a result of Two cup replays. We played the final 16 games in 57 days, so it was as many games in a week less - much worse scenario. Also over an extended time we played games at the same rate of 2 per week for a longer time.

Sorry Kristic but I saw it. He violently hit him in the face, not a simple push.
The linesman was directly in line with it (mind you I have no idea why he was standing there). A push to the ground is not necessarily a red card but a punch or elbow is.

The strangest thing is that's not really the form of McHugh but if he gets a three match ban then I think Dodgy Dave has decided its violent conduct.
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week

I was in block 'C' right in line with incident.
The ref had started heading back up the pitch.
You , if with the other Drogs fans, were in block 'A' right in the corner, the defenders back would have blocked you from getting a clear view.
McHugh turned, they both had words and McHugh grabbed his jersey pushing him to the ground, as i said a sending off none the less.

I don't know if the linesman actually witnessed the incident or did he just see the Drogheda player hit the deck.
