Friday night, Semi-Final....support to pull City through

OK - I'm depressed reading some of the stuff here tonight.

Let's all of us park our concerns until Saturday and start planning the Mother of all Nights at the Cross next Friday. We should make the Rovers game seem like the Corpus Christi procession down Panna, in relation to the atmosphere.

We probably have a better chance of motivating the players than Gunther at this stage.

A reminder to those who don't believe the support doesn't make a difference, see this quote on Friday night from that prat Geoghan ( how do you spell his name?)..... "perhaps it was because they didn't have 7-8,000 mad Cork fans behind them this time" - obviously we got to him during the first game of the season.

So here goes. Who's bringing what on Friday?
    Drums.
    Ticker tape.
    Air Horns.
    Flags.
    Banners.
Scarves - where have they all disapeared to?
    Jacks paper.
Flares.....opps, forgot, FAI have banned them. Created too much of an atmosphere.
Beach ball for the Shed when things are quite or at Half-Time.

Can anyone think of anything else. Remember boys, the cameras will be there!

This could be your last chance this season to show them off..... oh $h*t there I go again getting all negative.
    Irish by birth,
Cork by the grace of God.

    Probably the whole summer thing???

Agree though, every possible colourful and noisy item should be brought along. The Derry fans are some of the league's best and with the crowd that is traveling, City fans will have to be on their supporting game to combat the noise.

Well a better chance than a cardboard cut-out that stands motionless for every game

lads, lesson learned on balloons, they run away from ya, so get string and tie them all together or something.

    Wish I could be there

We're the best supporters in the world, we know it and we'll show it. Now that I've got the poetics out of my system, I have to agree. Every effort humanly possible should be made to make Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve look like a visit to the dentist. I say bring along a few flares anyway, they'll add to the atmosphere! I'll bring my scarf.

With the Brandywell Pride supporters club travelling in force, between both sets of fans we can show how two non-Dublin teams fans can achieve a friendly but vocal atmosphere at a semi-final!

Do any of you's know where about in the ground the Derry fans will be?

P.S. There's only one CITY and it's us

The away fans usually go in the Donie Forde stand, on the right hand side of it. But if there are 250 of ye coming down ye might be put in a section of the St. Annes end?

Yeah ... the top end anyhoo, St. Annes end might be better if there is that many, but how are you going to tell 250 people.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Please tell me that is not the uncovered seats in the ground?

We're travelling from Derry so I would think they would put us in a covered seated area.

Yes the St Annes end is completely uncovered. Been a while since enough away fans travelled for them to be moved to that area & in those days was a different price from the stand.

I'd say most likely ye get the last section of the stand of which the bottom half is only partially covered anyway

You do not want to know, you REALLY do not want to know. Besides, what are you getting stuck into me for? At least I'll be at the X on Friday for the biggest game of the season. I had enough FORESIGHT not to get myself stuck a thousand miles away right when the Cup semi-final is being played!

Have to disagree with you there Brandywellpride. When ye make a decent League showing, maybe ye can claim that one. Alternatively, we'll see who's singing come about 9:45 tomorrow night!

who are ye calling sunshine supporters????????????????????????????????????????

The offical CCFC fan club of Luxembourg would not exist if we didn't continue our crusade.

Any way the low% tax I pay on my wages here will take the hurt away from being a sunshine supporter.
    It's only just begun...............

Dricky boy, ignore them, they´re just jealous at having to live in the wettest, most expensive country in Europe (still love to be back there right now though !)- we´ll see them in the final in dirty dumpland
