Yeah but how many of those teams pay only €8 or less.
It's a deal it's a steal....... It's sale of the century.
Should our Stars stay or not?
The $6 million question.....!
Just glancing through the attendances at some of the Div. 1 games in England last Saturday - have a look at the following:
Brighton vs. Grimsby ......... 6,547
Burnley vs. Wimbledon.......12,259
Walsall vs. Sheff. Wed.........6,792
Coventry vs. Millwall............13,562
Plus in Scotland's Premier League ( ???? ) three of the games had the following crowds:
Hibs vs. Livingston..........9,541
Motherwell vs. Dundee....4,025
Partick vs. Hearts.............6,111
Even Rangers could only attract 10,013 to Dundee Utd.
Turners Cross on Friday night, could well match or exceed each of these figures. So why couldn't we do it on a regular basis?
Quite simply we suffer from the age old Irish disease of Inferiority Complexe.
If only we had the belief to go out and market ourselves properly. The problem is we believe we are worse than the crap above. (Have any of you seen some of the Div 1 rubbish served up on Sky so far this season?)
Then you might see the likes of JO'F, George O'C, Barry-Murphy, Gamble, Delaney etc staying in Cork.
WE could then start looking at competing in Europe. If the likes of Malmo, Gottenborg, Rosenborg etc can do then why not City?
We got to stop talking ourselves down.
Anyone fancy a weekend in Dublin on the Oct. weekend......I'll be there.
Irish by birth,
Cork by the grace of God.

It's only just begun...............
If the last 21 years were class, here's looking forward to the next 21 years. It is our time
Some 3rd division english clubs would be charging close to E20 for some sections of their ground.
I think Lennox is very wise saying we need to be professional off the pitch before we become fulltime on the pitch - although we need to continue to make fast progress off the pitch.
Hopefully the days of players going to the lower english divisions is almost at an end too.
I don't think we even close to it yet but 5000 for every game at the cross even if mid table or not scoring goals is all thats needed to make significant progress.
thats it exactly.but to do that and do it right will take time and effort, hopefully Lennox is the man.Originally posted by Counting Crow
