UCD did try in that game. We were with Shels all the way in the first half and played quite well. Some of the passing in that first half was as nice as I've seen this season. Unfortunately in the second half they blew us away with their superior quality. You also mention Darren Quigley's clean sheet record. Unfortunately for Darren he had a bad game that night. He conceded a weakish free kick from Jason Byrne and a 25 yard twisting with back to goal volley from Glen Crowe. It just went badly that night. We still tried to mount attacks even when we were losing heavily. Everyone tried but you just have days like that, especially with a young inexperienced squad.

All personal abuse removed, cop on all concerned please! You were both at fault so I'm not interested in any complaining about deleting those posts.

CTID are you seriously suggesting that we should have tried to injure Shels players when we were getting hammered in Tolka? Should Bray have done that to us when we beat them 4-0 a few weeks ago?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

CTID - I note you say you weren't at the match, but then comment in-depth on our defensive performance...?

    Don't be silly.

Lets get this back on topic though. Nobody has had a good season...and I will continue to maintain that opinion until some of ye donate to STIG for CF Ireland.

Some of ye would want to take the Tony Mac rose tinted glasses off. A midfielder who has not scored goals this season and he gets your vote for player of the season (albeit he's filled in at the back).

Has he been as effective as other players like Sammon. Hell No.

Methinks there's a Tony Mac conspiracy underfoot, as outlined in my post.

Yes there is a hint of the "it's about damn time he got it" view in the posts. I wouldn't begrudge him. I reckon Conor Kenna has been the least ineffective player in the first team(that is as close as I will get to a compliment until ye start ponying up the dough for charity).
