Philly Gorman to Represent Ireland in Military Games Qualifiers in Dublin

According to the FAI site, Philly Gorman is on the Irish defence forces team for their qualifers in Dublin for World Military games in India in 2007. They will play Greece and the Netherlands.

Other Eircom league players include Colin Fortune from Athlone Town, Stephen O�Donnell from Finn Harps and Davin O�Neill from Cobh Ramblers.

Fair play to Phillo, a fine player. I never thought his temperament especially suited to military discipline and was bemused when he missed the last third of last season to do a tour in Lebanon. If I was in charge of a sensitive military operation designed to keep the lid on a political powder keg, the last guy I'd want on my team would be Phillo Gorman.

No shame in losing to Greece, probably the best armed forces team in Europe.

Has been great since he has moved back sheridan. Nearly sure he is already our top scorer or joint top scorer.

County were finding it difficult to score goals but himself and Bowers well as young Paddy Mahon look like they might have that problem solved.

Hasn't been a problem with his temper bar a small incident in the Kilkenny game back in July.

And Greece, a strong Air force is about all I know.
