Is this where, like some Cork fans last year, I start whinging about a bias? Appauling!
Given that includes Europe, and Cork and Derry were the top 2 last year, it seems fair enough at the top. At the other end of the scale however...![]()
Including League, FAI Cup, League Cup, Setanta & European games distribution for 46 live games is... (excludes 2 league games & FAI Cup final with teams not announced yet)
Cork City 17
Derry City 14
Shels 12
Drogheda 9
St Pats 4
Bohs 3
Longford 3
Shamrock Rovers 3
Athlone 2
UCD 1
Bray 1
Galway 1
Sligo 1
Sligo will be on tv live for cup semi final which is only first of the season which is a surprise. 13 different teams is good though & no surprise that skewed in favour of European & Setanta Cup clubs.

Good to see that three First Division Teams have been aired, and not only because of the Rovers interest.
Irritatingly, the only extant team in the Premier not to be shown at all this year are the Blues.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

"The stadium should be equipped with at least 1 TV platform".
This does not mean a guy with a camcorder in the main stand with the fans. But we all know the licensing is a fudge anyway.

I think the addition of the tv gantry of top of the main stand at Turners cross has encouraged tv companies to broadcast from the cross. The tv gantry is also big enough that can be used as "studio" for the presenter & pundits. Turners Cross is possibly the best eL ground for tv access.
Funnily enough, both teams play away games too. Granted we've been pretty muck for a lot of the year, but it is still a little irritating. No coincidence that Waterford and Sligo havent been shown live. In fairness to whatever tv channel is doing the game they wont do it from a ground that has no proper tv gantry.

So the last day of the season is the only live game not decided on yet?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
absolutly ridiculous that we've only been shown once on tv this season. and that hasn't happened yet!

Think of the lost revenue, if you had a few games live, even away ones so that the crowds at home pile into a few bars to watch. Potential sponsors see this and want a piece, thus advert in programme, hoarding around the ground, sponsor a player, etc.
Because of this lack of coverage, getting sponsorship is that much harder if you get it at all ..... and the TV Licence ..... could you live with the shame ?? They can ...... they are laughin' at you ...... they think you are a mug, the boys are bustin' their sides laughin' at you, inconsolable every day of the week. All they do is read what the INN news group give them and you believe they are 'researching' it and 'reporting' it to you.
To be honest fella ..... you are a mug, if you believe they give a toss about you, your club or anything about you. They couldn't give a toss about any of us.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
