I presume you mean Off The Ball, on Newstalk or is On The Ball on Sportstalk something else that Hunter also talks on?

I might be wrong but as far as I know that in their same time at the club Robbie has more goals and more assists in the Premiership than Berbatov so if Berbratov is being talked about in a 30 million quid transfer a fee of 20 million seems pretty reasonable for Robbie

Robbie Keane’s future at White Hart Lane looks to be more secure tonight, with Tottenham discrediting reports which claim that the striker has filed a transfer requested to leave the club.

Same paper, same day, different angle.

Spurs have confirmed that he has not requested a transfer, but won't answer questions on if he is committed to staying, and the latest is that Keane has asked to be kept informed of Liverpool's interest.

I think he's found his level at Spurs to be honest.

That's not to say I wouldn't be delighted for him and wish him all the best if the move to Liverpool materializes.
I pity the fool!.... But suggest ways that he might improve himself.

I actually think he'd form a great partnership with Torres and champions league would do him no harm, i cant see Spurs making it for another few years if at all.

If Keane has any ambition as a player her should definitely leave Spurs for Liverpool. Not moving would just class him with Shay Given in terms of being a player reluctant to miove from a club going nowhere and doing themselves no favours. The more Keane challenges himself the better for Ireland. Playing against Champions League opposition and in a more pressurised league situation i.e. Liverpool must challange for the title and win and perform most weeks whereas Spurs simply need to get back on track in the league. If he really is as good as people make him out to be he'll be playing and fine but the fact that people are questioning the move suggests that there is doubt whether he is of the top class.
If you played for Spurs would you move to Liverpool if they wanted you?
    I would.

Darren Bent was signed by Spurs for GBP16m last summer and Robbie has proved himself to be a far superior player. We often hear these fees and dismiss them as overdone or ridiculous. However, when you actually look at the players who are moving for large fees you do have to accept that some of our Irish players are worthy of much bigger transfer prices.

It's just the nature of the current transfer market.

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

I think those same people would sneer at the valuation of Bent at £16M. Prices are very high at the moment as there's a lot of money in the EPL.

If Andy Johnson is worth 10.5 million then Keane is worth the money .. should qualify that statement with relative to the crazy transfer fees being bandied about at the moment. After (Roy) Keane's signings last season .. he'd do well to steer clear of AJ.

Spurs are not very happy with Benitez

Rafael Benítez has riled Tottenham by going public with his wish to bring Robbie Keane to Liverpool. Having already angered Martin O'Neill, his managerial counterpart at Aston Villa, with his persistent courting of Gareth Barry, the Spaniard provoked amazement at White Hart Lane yesterday by confirming his interest in their Irish forward.
