Game over, no hattrick but a good display by Keano anyhow.

I wonder was it a Blacknurn throw in though? I thought that the defender just got a toe to it, between Mido's legs, just before it went over the sideline??

Must use the Sky Plus and stop the frame when it's shown again to see if I'm right or just blind.

Smashing Keane goal though! What a week for young Robbie! Man of the match too.

Great goal alright. Typical Robbie skill. Great play through the game today too. If he played like that every game would be one of the best players in Britain.

Robbie Keane's first goal was worth the trip to the pub and the first pint on its own. I'm sure the skillful flick over the head of the defender couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke than Robbie Savage either!

If the first was sublime, the second was a typical strikers goal - hopefully he can hold this form for a good long while.

He also set up the third as well. I was a mite hung-over but I spent the $20 and ordered the game anyways. The first goal had me choking on my crispix!

    Great week for Robbie.

I thought Robbie was different class today. He looks very sharp at the moment. Its obvious he's full of confidence. I also think that we may look back on the past week as an important transition in Robbie's career. I think he is now becoming the mature professional that he needs to be. BTW, the vision he showed with the pass to Lennon prior to the third goal was outstanding.

Agreed but can he keep it going until the qualifiers? It would have been great seeing him in such form going to Germany but c'est sera sera.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

I don't think we're going to travel to London just to see Keane play Pete.

    Robbie Double

Two goals for Spur, the first was a deft chip over the keeper.
That puts him on 13, joint 6th top striker (with Rooney), in the Prem.
He was also 9th in the Actim index and his two goals today may well
see him go higher. He seems top be going from strength to strength.

The man is a legend as far as I'm concerned. The second goal was his 120th competitive goal in club football.

I thoght Dafoe was the better player. I was wrong.

He seems to be maturing and growing into his role as a leader Keep it up!

I don't think anyone on this website needs to be apologising for their wavering faith in Robbie Keane's ability or how far he was going to go. Fluctuating form, weight and an increased immaturity (or perhaps lack of responsibility would be a better turn of phrase) have all featured in past questioning of Keane's future.
It does seem now that he is rising to the next level, it will be interesting to see if he continues in his current goalscoring form and carries it into next season and more importantly from an Irish viewpoint, the European championships.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

I think that Keane, this season, has shown signs that he is maturing into a player recognised as World class. If Spurs were to gain champions league qualification then don't be suprised if he has a great season in it, and then maybe that World Player of the year may not be too far away .

I watched the game yesterday evening and to be fair Keane ran his socks off and deserved his man of the match performance.I just hope he keeps it up.He could score 20 goals a season for Spurs but if he performs like he did for Ireland for the last year or so then all the goals and effort is useless as far as i am concerned. He just needs to play with the same consistancy and maturity as he does for Spurs and then he will be a world class player.

Agree with FarBeag. And its only since October or so thats he's been performing consistently for Spurs. Fair play to him for knucking down, he looks fitter now than he did when playing for Ireland.

I only saw a bit of the game but Robbie is looking good alright. I thought Kelly struggled in the bits I saw though.
