Keane will play tomorrow night and rightfully so.
hopefully though he will play his heart out and realise he cant take his position in the side for granted anymore ..

Couldn't agree with you more. It's time for him to start delivering. He owes us a big performance. This is just too big of a game to drop him for though.

    Thumbs up Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane just scored his 3rd goal of the season. He now has the same amount of goals as both Mido and Defoe, yet he's had less than half the playing time. It's Robbie's second start in a row. Maybe Robbie has played his way back into the team.

lets not get carried away. Jol wont play two short men together. Mido is doing well so it going to take a lot more effort from robbie.

Still at the end of the day, Im glad that he is on the bench. Maybe he will grow up a bit and develop his game.

Lets not get carried away? A couple of bad performances for Ireland and Keane is a terrible player. Keane was the best player on the park today and deserves credit. Apparantly he linked up extremely well with Mido.

    "Allegedy" eh ?

Well we all know the story with Robbie. Lots of talent but little of it used.

Keane appeared to be trying to prove a point to manager Martin Jol throughout the match.

The Irish striker was busy and a constant thorn in Wigan's side, and will have surely retained his place for Tottenham's next game, against Sunderland.

I thought he took the goal well. He anticipated the mistake, like all good forwards should, and it took a nice touch to take the ball away from the keepr and De Zeuw.

Just chatting to the lads from work and I argued that he's not a player for a team with Champions league ambitions with the current fad with unnecesary depth in every department and squad rotation. If Keane was at the Evertons and Chartlons of this world and made 40 odd starts in all competitions he'd reach the 20 goal a season target set by most strikers, Re the like of Saha at Fulham. But the stop start playing time he's had at Leeds and Spurs (both teams with ideas above their station i might add) has hindered him.

I thought he looked very good from what I saw on MOTD. Set up Davids' goal too. Has he lost a few pounds? Very sharp & spritely.

Like nearly everyone else on this forum I think Robbie probably needs a move. But this time last year nobody though Joe Cole had a chance at Chelsea.

I agree Robbie did play well over the weekend but i dont see why everytime he scores a goal we start a thread about it. Isn't that his job.

Probably cos it seems like someone else starts a thread every time he doesn't.

He is over rated,we(Irish people) have a terrible habit of over rating our own and yet slagging the English when they do it too.

I think that we actually give Robbie too much of a hard time, he's not an out & out striker, yet is our top all time goal scorer. If we had a good 'poacher' along side him he would do well....He was highly praised by all the commentators for his goal at the weekend, he's still our 1st choice striker & we are lucky to have him!!

He set up Mido's goal earlier and we know what Jol thinks of partnerships.

/edit - Mido sets up Keane for Spurs' second.
