The last ten years are littered with players playing on teams you would never had imagined when they started out or when they were in their prime, etc...I would give some examples but i have to go as it is snowing here AGAIN.![]()
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
Don't worry, we feel your pain. It's been snowing here non-stop since November. We're covering it up to protect tourism. That thing with Aer Lingus staff? Pretext for closing the airports. The whole thing with the government looking about as stable as a gibbering lunatic driving a car along a plank balanced on a giant football on the edge of a badly eroded cliff? That's a diversion. I think we're stretching the limits of people's credulity with that one myself, but Brian's convinced it'll work.
You can't spell failure without FAI
How sharp can Keane be right now?? He's not played regularly for months on end. He'd do very well to hit the ground running at a new club.
In the cold light of day, its a 30 year old Spurs sub, majorly hesitant to move beyond London who demands 65K a week.
As great a servant that he's been to us - he's not Messi.
Quoting years at random since 1975
Wolves did try to sign Keane on loan before he moved to Celtic so they know his wages. He obviously knows MM, played for Wolves previously and Ebanks-Blake is out injured. I can't see Fulham or West ham signing him at this stage. Staying at Spurs is a complete no-no as he will be lucky to make the bench for most matches especially if they buy Rossi. Give Mick a call Robbie.
I think if Robbie lowers his wage demands he would be a great signing for most Premier League teams. All he needs is a good run of games and he's pretty much guaranteed to score you goals at that level.
Harry defends Robbie over the 'wage demands' that everyone assumes.

“When they said they couldn't meet his wage demands that was totally unfair on Robbie because he had never made any demands. He never ever spoke to Birmingham and made any demands."
This is Arry who said he wasn't signing Pienaar a day before he did. I believe Keane when he says he never spoke with Birmingham but Arry is playing semantic games here. Spurs agreed a deal with Birmingham. Arry told us so. And it sounds from that piece he is putting Robbie firmly in the shop window.
Spurs have put Robbie in the shop window and accepted an offer from another club, but Spurs are not involved with the personal terms negotiations. That's a matter between Robbie and the prospective club.
But Geysir it is reasonable to think that he wouldn't demand something like 65K/W from Birmingham, no? While I agree players are greedy when they have the upper hand I also will allow that he probably is willing to sacrifice a little so he can play....
I hate this time of "International Football Cycle." The first Winter after the WC is so bad. At least this time next year we will be talking WC. (Or 2012 to all you glass half full people.)
And John83 sorry, all the suffering in the world.. What a Martyr are ye....I see you have fancy medals so you must be a General. Sorry, General. I regret mentioning my snow. For all the suffering to be heartly felt by a 5 AM internet post......Shame on me.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
Harry was in Spain mid week to check out on some Argie looking bloke called Diego, who plays for Atletico.
Harry mugged in Madrid
The Spurs manager said he did not believe the muggers knew who he was.
"I just probably looked stupid or something, and they thought 'here's one here, he's not Spanish, obviously and we're looking for a foreigner'."
In this instance Harry has proven that he has good mind reading instincts. He uses those instincts to explain in a coherent fashion to simple folk, the motivations of other people who are out to get you.
I have no doubt that Harry is an able, sound and honest witness.

According to Birmingham City's Vice chairman Peter Pannu, Keane turned Birmingham down but Brum also pulled out of the deal. How can you pull out of a deal with someone who never agreed to one. Bizarre stuff. Stephen Carr was involved in trying to get Keane to move to Brum. The Sunday World is suggesting Keane will have to take a huge paycut (almost half what he is curretly on)to get a move to either West Ham or Fulham and remain in London. http://www.irishtimes.com/sports/soc...288147556.html

In Harry's world, foreigners are not to be trusted.
Does it not strike you as unbelievable that Carr never mentioned Robbies' wages and his expectations to BCfc? It looks like Birmingham pursued making a serious offer to Spurs with that unresolved elephant size wage issue in the room. This is about the 6th time this has happened with Birmingham this season.
This Pannu guy sounds like a right spoofer. Carr probably told Keane to stay well away.
Trap tells Robbie to find new club!

Vancouver Whitecaps (Johnny Giles old club!) or a championship club (I'm Guessing Leiceister who are also interested in signing Given).
Im making up my own rumour on this one... loan move to QPR for rest of season with a view to a permantant move if they get promoted. They have a few injuries up top, rich owners and are a London club
Its really not that complicated!!!
